Minnow Booster Day Continues Expansion!
We determined Minnow Booster day is an amazing idea and greatly helped distribute votes down the Shadow Ranks. We also realized a way to slightly tweak it for the future weeks to really make it live up to it's name.
The new proposal
All Casters over the FVL will still be skipped by those who are fractionally voting, in addition, those with over 20 Shadow Rank would also be skipped to ensure the real minnows in the pool can get a boost.
Remember when you are over 20 Shadow Rank you are getting votes all week (except from Casters over the FVL on Minnow Day), you don't NEED minnow booster day like a new minnow would that just joined who simply at this point can't get more than a single vote a month right now!
Remember the more SP you have directly increases your priority in the pool. @grandpawhale (who does not make posts for some reason) has over 100,000 SP and just a 2 Shadow Rank and is the top priority. If they were to decide to make a post despite being one of the lowest Shadow Ranks they would be the top priority in our pool.
You directly earn well above 20 Shadow Rank, Minnow Booster Day is about us who are earning well and over the FVL to give back to all the minnows who make up the pool. Nearly 75,000 SP of our pool is made up by about 850 minnows under the FVL right now! Giving back boosts to those who deserve it is how this system is designed to work.
This system is meant to be FAIR for all, not just service the top! Minnow Booster Day is our way to fulfill the mission we set out to accomplish, reward good steemians! We believe that this slight change will greatly effect those at the very bottom that contribute all week!

Will really appreciate, if you can draw a process flow/table/chart to depict which category of USERS gets votes and when!? and when not !!!
SO that, there is more transparency and clearer depiction even for laymen. Therefore the POSTS be more rationally posted!!!
Kindly understand my point of view that the one who shares his VP to the pool should be relatively rewarded/awarded the votes from the POOL. Instead of EXCLUDING them from the votes for a PARTICULAR DAY!
Besides, please do know that there are variable figures on account of SBD Rewarded from the POOL on casters page and Individual user page. That I really really don't understand!!!
Moreover, I have not received any Votes on my Last Two Posts !!! Curious to know...Why !!!???

We agree with many of the points you bring up. We are constantly working to tune and upgrade the system to make things more transparent and more fair for everyone. As we grow, expand and evolve we are going to need people like you to work with to ensure we continue to move closer toward the ideal system for all!
A hybrid ultimate system we do envision for balancing, the reason we are spreading it out primarily right now over different days is to gather data and allow for realistic long term analysis and feedback to be provided that will ultimately allow us to tune this system to become the best it can possibly be!
The rewards in our system are based on VESTS and current VESTS to SBD prices reported by the witnesses. They are only an estimate and will be completely dependent on how you chose for your reward payouts.

We see at least a few votes from Shadow Casters on your posts. Being under 20 Shadow Rank and relatively new our system does not prioritize you (in the past was much harder). Our new proposal to Minnow Booster day would ensure EVERY LAST person under 20 Shadow Rank and Under the FVL (Currently 1250 SP) gets upvotes each week at least for a single day from the "big fish" in the pool.

@shadowbot I want to make an enquiry,am a minnow and I feel my handle is being used to vote,and I also observed that I get auto followed without a single vote.and I have been active on this platform,please kindly shed more light as to why I don't get votes.

Question: How much does voting outside of ShadowBot affect the votes I give and receive from Shadow?
Is it bad if I vote stuff on my own? Is there a certain VP I should stay above to ensure max shadow rewards?
You should try and keep you voting power above 90% to max out your shadow contributions, and thus your Shadow Rank. If you don't vote at all and hit 100%, Shadowbot will give out extra votes to maximize your contributions. So the less you vote the better, but you'll want to use your votes too sometimes and I think we all understand that.
We encourage you to always up vote content you find that REALLY deserves it, but to answer your question we have the voting set with the following rules. When your VP hits 100% you begin voting since it would be a waste of your maxed out VP to not. If however your VP does not reach 100% in a given 5 hour period, we force your account to vote. Each voting cycle takes ~2% of your VP. VP replenishes at a rate of about 20% per 24 hours. My general rule of thumb is never vote below 90% VP and then let it come back up to 100%, shadowbot is designed that even if you do manually vote, if you give it some breathing time, your VP will replenish to full 100%, which maximizes your curation rewards as well as the influence your votes have. Quality not quantity is what matters on steem.
How it effects votes you receive: Well it does affect your ability to earn Shadow Rank, which directly affects your Pool Priority. Each week Shadow Rank gives points to those who average over 98% VP (meaning they are contributing all or at least most of the votes to other Shadow Casters not voting themselves outside of ShadowBot). It does not have a direct negative effect though, just a lack of a potential positive.
