Ready to turn 71 with an important message & change in tone
I have dedicated 15 months of my life to Steemit
& spent countless hours helping others here, believing this to be the future for those of us who felt out of place on Facebook & YouTube.
Now that my family & I have been living on Steem for 7 months and I am on the cusp of a 71 reputation, the time has come to air my recent feelings about the state of Steemit.

BUT I'm loving the platform and what I'm reading. This community is outrageous and very real -- beats the heck out of crackbook, that is a big fat for sure! Now, I do enjoy keeping up with my buds on FB, but on Steemit? People are pushing the limits in their own lives and sharing that freely here.

Now i wish there was a way not to miss your post :) 15 month is a lot. And it took me ~4 months to change it from fluffy to something else :)
Looks like you have done so much already, for the whole community, so it will be really interesting to see how that post goes. I am also a founder of BeScouted a photography community on Steem blockchain (since i find that stem blockchain as a technology still has so much potential and i will not be saying anything about steemit :)
The idea for the photography community we are building was born when i was spending 4 months in Bali too :) It's 4 years already :) And i am still fluffy about it lol So take a look since you are a photographer yourself would be lovely to hear back your opinion if you have a minute :) Cheers!

Is the community for professional photographers or is it something similar to viewbug?
It'a a mix, viewbug/500px also casting platform and a marketplace. It's new and nothing like that was ever built previously. We are testing the concept and since iy is on steem member get rewards too.
Thank for the feedback. I had a brief look at what can seen on the intro page and felt quite intimidated by the beautiful photography there, it was mostly professional model pics! not sure if should join I dont do that kind of photography at all.
Hah hah, those are the top images selected by the community :) There is variety of levels once inside :) And you also grow faster and learn faster when inspired by great work. Just signup with you fb first (if you still have it) it's free and see how you like it :)

Well, as it seems to me it will take you 2-3 posts more to build up that missing about 1,200 billion reputations to reach the No 71 here. But according to the number of your followers, I think it might be even sooner.
However, whenever you are going to post that "The Post" do it gentle and wise. I'm always for the truth in the first place, and although I am the last one who could show off as some expert on the field of gently bringing the truth, I still know that it could be brought to the daylight in that way too.
Something like Rambo vs Gandi way. - Maybe it's not the best example but the first that crossed my mind.
So, if nothing else think of us with weaker heart muscle and enough other BS in our life, if I may ask and suggest.
I love this platform and the community who use it very much. And I will be gentle for sure.

haha! yes indeed. I believe I have brought many people here and have always been 100% positive about Steemit. And I am still positive, but perhaps a little more realistic now. It's all good.
I look forward to what you have to say. I see such great potential here, but I see some potentially deal-breaking problems. It is going to take a concerted effort by the "big players" to save it.
There are some who are already working towards this goal. @stellabelle for example. She has status, SP and an awareness of the issue. She is just the person to lead this charge ;)
I also see huge potential here and would love to find a way to make it work for everyone...
