Day 7 - Reputation Dropped From 51 to 0!

Day 7 - Reputation Points : 10

Today was a BIG day in terms of recovery. I gained +5 reputation points!

It is all thanks to @haejin, an Orca, who helped me out by upvoting 1 of my post. He upvoted me on a post which I had "Declined Payout". I'm not sure if that gave me more reputation points but I''m just so happy. His upvote alone gave me +3 reputation points! Although I can't claim the $30 that he upvoted, that is not so important at this point. I just want my reputation points back.

I gained another +2 reputation points from other posts and comments I made today. So all in, it was a fantastic day and a huge step in my recovery to get to 51 reputation points again.

A few hours later, I received a lot of downvotes from a group of Steemians. I don't understand why they did it. Fortunately, it was all -1% downvotes. I think this was to counter what @haejin did, because they downvoted my post thanking him for his upvote. Why would this group of Steemians downvote me just because someone had helped me out?

Anyway, the impact was not big and I lost -0.05 reputation points. But it was still something I couldn't understand and dampened my mood slightly.

So, for today's post I really want to thank a few people who have helped me out in my recovery journey so far. I feel so grateful because they are all doing this out of goodwill and for the community. Nobody has asked for anything in return and I am really thankful for what they have done.

... and many many others who have helped me out with their upvotes AND encouraging words during this period of time. so sorry if I didn't mention your name here, I don't mean to omit you but I just scrolled through my history and recognize some of the more active Steemians

I hope my daily post series can serve 2 purposes.

1. As a tutorial for others in a similar situation, now and in future.
2. A lesson and reminder to myself not to click on phishing links and keying in my password at dubious websites.
