D-Tube Tech Help Needed

Sarah Westall, Youtuber and free speech advocate is trying to make the switch over here to Steemit and D-Tube and is having some problems getting her keys to work. Now I know that somebody out here in Steemland can help, after all if were going to build the platform by attracting known personalities- they're going to have to be able to use it! Who can help???

Simply logging in with my user name and private posting key works for me but I have found that D.Tube works inconsistently. Sometimes my videos appear to upload but the process never really finished or I get various errors when I try to publish. It seems pretty random. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes not (and all the videos I have attempted to upload so far are in the same format and are less than 10 minutes long).
I know that her videos tend to be kind of long, but I don't think she can even log in from what I gathered from our brief conversation.
The only thing I can think of is to make sure she is clicking the Show Private Key button before copying the key. Otherwise she'll by copying the wrong thing.

I don't know, but I resteemed it in the hope that someone who does know will answer.
Thanks Buddy. I've never even tried to use it so I know nothing. I suggested trying her owner key, but who knows. I know that none of my keys work on Busy.org so...
I haven't tried yet, myself. Seems better right now to find out through others. :)

Please, let us know how it goes. I managed to log in with my password, but I haven't tried to upload a video. The password worked fine; I got logged in on the first try.
(Now if only DTube could have a look at those domain-lookup errors I sometimes get....)

Hey, Rich I don't have a specific answer for you on this as I've not done much with D.Tube myself though my son has. If I come up with something I'll let you know.

I hear you were excited to potentially mentor him into steemit. If you need my help let me know and I'll provide support as well. I'd talk to him myself, and am available to either of you if need be, but I think you would be less likely to overwhelm him with a deluge of information he doesn't need YET. :)
If you can describe what specifically she is encountering I might be able to figure it out even though I don't use D.Tube yet myself. Making videos takes me way longer than writing, and some of my written posts would make insanely long videos. :)

This wasn't very useful for the help needed. There are a TON of comments and since I am not you whichever one you are involved in is not sorted to the top for me. I haven't found it.

No sorry I didn't think of that. She said that her posting key wasn't letting her in so I suggested her ownership key.
Yeah you can't use the ownership key I think. It is likely she was trying to use the public posting key. You have to login and click SHOW PRIVATE KEY and it is the private posting key it needs.
The only two keys people generally need are posting for posting, voting, etc (so likely all D.Tube needs) and the Active key to transfer money.
You know, that never occurred to me... I bet that's it!
I was having the same problem. I just did the private posting key thing and that was it! Thank you so much, holy shit. I've been so confused and waiting for responses in the dtube chat for a few days now. That must be her problem as well
I'll have a look at this in a few minutes and if I have any ideas I'll let you know.
There are several keys, you must go to steemit wallet and then permissions. You will see your public keys displayed. To the right is a button which says show private key. Click Show Key, next to your Posting key. Then enter your steemit password to reveal the key. Copy your private key paste it under your username in dtube and you should be locked into the blockchain!

Sorry, I know nothing about d.tube.
However, having watched Westall I am sure it is a problem between seat and keyboard. (she just needs to be walked through the process)
Probably one of the problems is that her videos run a bit longer than an hour, and so are quite large.
Westall has some very good guests on, and my biggest complaint is Sarah interrupts too often as they try to answer her question(s).

I strongly believe you will find the right person for this here. However, operating dtube is headache on its own. I hope you friend doesn't encounter other challenges after this one must have been settled.
