PROMOTING YOUR POST- YAY OR NAY?
As a newbie over nine months ago, it took me several weeks to know about channels on SteemChat, when i did learn about steemchat; then i discovered a lot of promotional channels on it. One of the major feature of most of this channels is spamming with hundreds and dozens of post links even on channels that strictly says no posting of links. Some had paid dearly for disobeying this simple rules while some escaped it.
So the question now is this, promoting every single one of your post; what do you stand to achieve and is it actually worth it? below are some of the reasons why users use the promotional channels.
TO GET MOST UPVOTE
Honestly speaking, if you are in the category of users who promotes your works for the purpose of getting more upvotes i am really sorry to quench your hopes as this is chance between 1% to 10% of success rate. Basically manyof us had been in this category before at one time or another before we got basic knowledge required for Blockchain Blogging.

Do not get me wrong, there was a time when promoting your votes gets you some handsome upvotes but not anymore since the Booming influx of New users. Now and in most cases upvotes received in promotional channels are relatively low reason been that about a thousand others are promoting their publications same time as you which is a huge factor affecting the bulk of votes other users are willing to dish out as regarding promoting your posts on this channels.
Except you are some very famous User or author, those are the only people who attracts more attention than you do; or a Whale or Dolphin who just wishes to share their links in any of the promotional channels. Of course we all know they do not want upvote from newbies and minnows but more visibility of their message been passed across in their Posts.
MORE VISIBILITY AND FOLLOW
This takes us to more viewers and readers, if you are in the category of Bloggers who only needs more people to read your work and follow you; then your chances of getting that through promotional channels is slightly higher than the first group of Blockchain Bloggers mentioned above.
With a very attractive title, you are guaranteed to get minimum visibility as you tend to attract more users to your work through your topic and this might earn you some follows. Then if the Title is as attractive as the bulk of the content, then that might earn you what the first category of Bloggers wanted so bad and viciously searching for. Truth be told, less and less readers now abounds on the platform and only a few would take time to go through a certain publication into-to and probably leave you a nice feedback in the comment section. This fact is as a result of over a thousand publication at a go popping up every minutes and seconds and nobody wants to get burned out reading and reading!
TO SHOW HOW ACTIVE A USER HAS BEEN
This final category of users/bloggers that i have selected do not care for more visibility nor more upvote or maybe just a fraction of upvote and not a desperate need of it, all they care for is for other users to see their post links and see how active they have been in the Community. This are some of the people who still promotes their past payout Blogs and also send links to multiple users which is considered spamming.
Interestingly and as Odd as it sounds, this are the biggest winners as they just want to remain active and they ended up with more upvotes and Visibility they never bargained for. We all have seen some of the instances; a user sent me a link of one of his post five days old and i strangely opened and loved the content upvotes and Resteemed. Strangely the following morning the $0.97 reward had appreciated to $4.8 and all this guy/man sent with the link was please follow me!
PROMOTIONAL IS FREE AT WILL NO BARRIERS
No rule is against promoting your works but the ability to abide by the rules of each promotional channels is very important. Some had gotten flagged and downvoted in their quest for looking for more Upvotes, Visibility and Follows. A very crucial message to any newbie who cares to read this and some minnows; Do promote your posts but in an orderly manner which might end up getting you all three benefits.
But if it is such a tideous task to stick to the rules, be advised to stay away from promoting your works to avoid getting in troubles you never imagined existed on the platform!

I have been in the first category, just looking for upvotes and i realized that the same i dump my post in post promotion channel, is the same way others dump theirs.. No one reads them. So i'm focusing on building lasting relationships with people..
Building relationships here is key. that way you know those who truly care about your content
I feel like this is a common problem when sites try to concentrate self-promotion into one area. There needs to be some reason for people to view the promotion channel versus other channels.

Exactly.. Being active pays off eventually..
The best way is to build relationship that last forever. There is life outside steemit. No one is ready to go through a bunch of post in post promotion channels.

Activity connectedness and consistency. Those are the most important keys on steemit. When one is active enough, and connects to the right people, they cannot just hide! They out!
