Heyy guys i just finished couple of weeks on steemit and i was very curious about How the rewards are distributed on steemit and How can i get the maximum reward and here i made alot of research and Came to this conclusion

There are verious factors that affects ur curation and author reward here ill explain all of then let us start

AS A VOTER

When u comment on a certain post u get a curation reward this reward depends upon following factors

No of Votes Before You

graph that shows you how your reward is being influenced by how many people have voted before you. As you can see the majority of the curation rewards are claimed by the first 5 curators!

So you're probably thinking "oh that's easy, i'll just vote immediately after publication". Well, that won't work because there is a second mechanism called "reversed-auction"Which also depend upon change of curator and author reward with the time of upvote in place to prevent this.......

Time after publishing the post

Well the maximum amount of reward that a curator can get is 25% and the minimum is 0% which varies linearly between 0-30 mins and then it remains constant at 25% as shown in the graph

Voting Power

Voting power is a complex matter......
It depends upon your Steempower No matter how much steem power you have you can give a maximum upvote upto only 2% of your full SteemPower
Ones you have 500+ SP u can vary the power of ur upvote....Like if u give a 75% power vote that is 75% of 2% from actual SP......SO it is actually 1.5% of total steem power user have

when u give a upvote consider you have 100% power right now and you give an upvote with full power so after the upvote you will be left with (98/100).You guys can track your current voting power on the site

Example:

• Curators before you have contributed 1000 STEEM POWER total
• Only 1 curator has voted before you
• You have 1000 STEEM POWER
• You voted when the content had been published for 10 minutes
• You voted at 100% weight
• The total reward pool for this post is $10.00

50% of the reward pool has been contributed by you (1000 of the 2000 total), you voted exactly at 1/3rd of the first 30 minutes at 100% weight and you voted 2nd (let's assume 40% as reward multiplier for that).

I will be using the following formula to calculate your curation reward: [total reward pool] . 0.25 . [reversed-auction multiplier] . [voting position multiplier]. Your rewards will be: $10.00 . 0.25 . 0.4. ~0.33=~$0.33. So in this specific case your curation reward is exactly 1/30th of the total reward pool of $10.00.

Had you voted at 30 minutes or later and the other curator came after you, you would have earned $1.50, which is 4.5 times as much! If you were the first voter at 30 minutes or later and nobody voted after you, you would have earned $2.50, which is the maximum 25% of the total reward.

So for a Voter

So Ideal time for a voter to vote on a post is an complicated issue but i would say if u have alot of SP u should vote on around 30 mins to get maximum curator reward on a post...And if you are a new user Then you should vote in the earlier period of time if you know that post will earn enough money.

For a Author

Well author cant do much about it......
But if u guys buy vote from a bot then buy it frm the bots which will vote before 30 mins so that you can get maximum author reward and give away less curator reward .....You can Track the various bots and the time to vote on https://s3.amazonaws.com/yabapmatt/bottracker/bottracker.html
