Let's Talk About STEEMIT GOALS & IGTV!
Whats up Steemians, How are you doing? I hope you're all doing good. I was a bit inactive the last days, but this was not because of this painful bear market. Better to say, it's painful depending on a specific point of view. I see this as a tremendous opportunity to enter in STEEM at a much lower price.
Before I read a post of @dandesign86 Check out how his thoughts are regarding the current market situation.
At the moment when I took STEEM more serious, I wanted to become an Orca here. That is my personal goal. And right now it looks that I will achieve this goal sooner than I thought. But on the other hand, I have to admit that sometimes I had some doubt about this Blockchain. I think we all have them occasionally.
The reason why I was inactive is that I was back in Germany visiting my parents. There where I grew up, where all started. For two years I wasn't there. My parents were during this time often here by me in Salzburg, but being again at the place where all started is something unique. Old memories are popping up; old people are contacting; it was just refreshing.
Maybe not many of you are aware what the centralized social networks are doing, but Instagram launched an application called Instagram TV which is claimed as the future of television.
The videos there are all vertically in the way how we look most of the time on our phones. Youtube is full of videos if this new application is a serious competitor to Youtube. Well I cant answer this question I think no one can; time will tell, but for me, this is a smart move. Video is the most engaging form of content and to optimize is for the smartphone (mobile first) is as I, in my opinion, a smart move. I tried this new feature out and created my frit IGTV.
Honestly, I hope we will see this kind of innovation build on the STEEM Blockchain. There was one female Steemian who made a Dtube video saying that a decentralized version of Vine would be beneficial for this blockchain. Do you remember Vine?
Right now I think that that Appics could be an application who could go in this direction. I hope that we will see more innovations in this Blockchain. But under the line, we can say that already a lot happened here. And the best is yet to come in my opinion.

While this time will sure move away in the coming days we just need some time and just hang on.
While have not really heard about it but seems like it might be a game changer and as for the users in Instagram this might be a huge move for them !
While hope APPICS is gonna be a great platform for us as well ;)

I've heard of IGTV but not paid any attention to it. This week has been all about the @dlive app release for me! IG can keep their centralized platform and I'll stick with @steepshot and @dlive. :)
A confident comment :) I heard also about the dlive app, but what is it actually about? Is it possible to stream directly from your phone now?
Ha very confident. Not able to stream from the app but it is in the works. Right now it just lets you keep up with streams from your mobile but I wouldn't put it past the team to have it upgraded quickly. You can however use Streamlabs to stream from mobile for now.
STEEM price being so low is an awesome opportunity to buy, and for those who can't afford any investment from FIAT, then it is a great time to post, you will receive a lot more of SP.
I´ve heard about IGTV, but I haven't really tested or learned much about what it is or what it does.
Yes, you are right. Right now is a time to invest in different ways.

A few days ago I downloaded the IGTV APP because I heard news about a new application linked to IG, so I decided to try it. It seems quite interesting, you can create your custom channel and have the popular videos on the home screen. I do not know if it really succeeds, but I imagine that it will be able to capture a certain type of audience, there are many videos already running and channels of anything, most of them last between 1-6 minutes.
Yes, I am also observing it and seeing how this will perform. For active Instagram users definitely a great thing.

The family is an essential of one's life, i have being away from home for a year and three months now and i know what it means to miss home.
For the Igtv, i have heard about it but didn't pay much attention to it because I never had much to do with instagram and only had an account with it several years ago.
Igtv will make some waves because instagram is popular but I don't see it as a threat to the Dtube, Dlive on the steem platform but rather I see it as a way for steemians to even advertise the steem platform and creating an awareness that there are other things one can do on the steem platform aside from making videos and all that.

@modernpastor, you know reading your posts have made me set out stronger steemit goals since this is the major thing im on now even though i only write and create content.
The price of steem/sbd is really a disheartening one but having a goal helps you stay on course even though the timeline is extended.

God bless you, brother, it's good that you were able to visit your parents. I did not know you were from Germany, we traveled to Frankfurt ... As I announced in my last publication of the trip to Europe, my next publication will be from Germany, Claro, was a few years ago. I do not know how he will be currently.
As for IGTV, I had never heard it ... to be honest, social networks have never caught my attention ... Steemit has been the only one that really motivated me. and on my phone the whatsapp.

Thanks for sharing IGTV haven't heard it yet but I have noticed a lot of updates on IG, social media is now leading to videos. I also hope to see Steemit on that direction as well.
