Cool steemit tricks!
I have been on steemit for 5 months now and I am so close to my slider it hurts! I should have had it last week but with steemit glitching my delegation disappearing for no reason at all, I am stuck yet another week without a slider :( and let's face it, I am having real issues keeping my power up and giving out votes the way I want to.
However, I was talking to @apanamamama the other day and she told me that you can actually download a slider even if you don't have 500sp (well actually a million vests but thats so much harder to understand, anyhow) Pretty fricken awesome right? I thought so... I just wish I would've known about this months ago! It would have made my life so much easier on steemit. Especially since I love to curate so much and also upvote everyone who comments on my page! At this point I might as well wait though, because I know I will be getting my slider through steemit basically tomorrow. But for all you people who want a slider and are still going to have to wait a while, here you go ;) ENJOY:
Ok, after many comments I am updating this post! I guess there is a site out that is much much easier than downloading the slider, its called busy.org check it out!

A few other things I learned this week was you that you can actually download your pictures right to steemit, you don't have to use a third party like imgur!? Mind blown! You just click the green highlighted words below your posting box that says selecting them. Sure you don't get as many options with sizes and you can't edit it, but if you just want to slap a picture on a post it is super easy! Thanks for showing me this @nairadaddy!
Then @lucylin showed me that you could extend the box where you type so you can see more! Pretty cool stuff if you write long comments like I do, its always a pain to be scrolling up and down to see what you are writing. Click in the bottom right hand corner of the posting or comment box and you drag it to be the entire size of the page! NO more scrolling up and down to read what you have wrote!
Another open secret people ask me about is how I get my posts all pretty, well the answer is right where you make the post, it is highlighted as Markdown Styling Guide right below the posting box. Click on that and it will tell you the tricks to making things highlighted, bold, both, emoji's :wink: and so many other fun things to make your articles more appealing! Give them a try!
I know there are so many tricks on steemit that I haven't ever learned, so I am asking everyone to share so I can make another post in a few weeks with a compilation of all the cool tricks of steemit! Everyone will benefit :) Sharing is Caring
The sliding vote thing has been a life changer for my Steemit life. ;) I can now upvote my comments without giving everyone 100% of my vote. So glad it was recommended to me! Hopefully others will use it as well. Have a great day! Hopefully this is your "minnow" day!!
The slider bar is really useful for distributing more votes to more people. It's a nice tool to have. @ironshield
Yes, you were the man who showed it to me! I'm forever grateful. :) The way SP is trickling in and my SBD keeps being stealthily removed from my account...I may never be a minnow, but I'm happy to have the slider. ;)

I seriously can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me! You have been super supportive and it has really helped to push me to try harder on steemit. Like I said, I don't know why you are being so generous to me but thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you @enchantedspirit and thank you @catweasel and thank you @cannonwar :) And I honestly don't mind what anyone chooses for a name, everyone has a right to choose what name they want and I think that is great!

I may want to download that voting slider too! 5 months and you nearly have it..! That's not bad at all!! Kudos! I'm lagging behind, because I have been cashing out some into BTC and other alts, but I am still determined to get there eventually!

Im glad you are expanding into other alts, thats great. I think everyone should diversify their portfolios.
I personally believe in steem to much to trade out any of it that i have earned on steemit ;) I just did an article about steem/steemit, you might want to check it out if you don't already know how amazing the steem network really is! Not to mention 2018 is gonna be steems year. don't worry, its short and to the point, I promise. And I didn't mean to spam you :/ only read it if u want to. lol.. take care

You just taught me a few new tricks, @moderndayhippie. I knew that bit about the photo uploading, but I didn't know that the post entry box could be stretched, and that is something I have always wished for. I've already tried it out on my computer, and am curious as to how it will work out on my phone.
I'm going to post the link to this article in the resources channel of my Discord Server for others to enjoy, and learn from. A lot of my Server members are newbies, and this will really be a help.
