When we first made our Steemit account nearly two years ago, we didn’t know what to expect but we were honestly broke and looking for ways to survive here. We had made it to Acapulco on the run from the US government honestly thanks to help from friends but we had the even harder task of surviving and eventually thriving here in southern Mexico with nothing but skills and determination.

In the time we’ve been here, now over two years, we’ve met many people coming here for the community and Acapulco in general. They all have their reasons and they almost always start by staying they want to live here and start a business. The reality is that many people get intimidated by what it takes to actually do such a thing here and end up either working online for others or leaving.

Many people including ourselves arrived here for the community to find that the community is loose knit at best, needing a lot of work. Something most people don’t think about is the fact that every community needs work, none is perfect and if you don’t like things change them! It was things like this that birthed @anarchaforko.

When we came to Steemit we were hoping mainly for two things, to share our story and survive while doing so. Something I realize is that many people that follow us don’t even realize we’re on the run, or any of the stuff that is honestly a big part of why we got popular here on Steemit. Considering the fact that it’s easily been six months since I shared anything about that and more than a year since I shared the story regularly it makes since that there’s confusion.

What we found when we came here is that people cared about hearing about a lot more than just our honestly sad, but inspirational story for how we came to live here in Acapulco. Due to that and the fact that life got really busy really fast we’ve just not had the time to dedicate to sharing more of that story. Not only that but sharing that story is hard, as I found time and time again when I used to make it more of a priority.

My interests and as a consequence my hobbies are so diverse that we are starting to see the need to compile and organize these posts as well as future posts on a website of our own. To give you an idea of what I mean I’ll make a list of many of my interests that I post about here or have posted about here in the past:

It’s been a crazy journey and even we are surprised at what has changed and what we’ve accomplished in these two years here in Acapulco.

So long as we retain our freedom we’ll still be here, working our asses off and sharing what we can with you all.
