#SteemIT!!! Oh how I missed you so. My Farewell to Facebook and off-chain media platforms.

Yea, I really just did this, and so should you, here's why; Wouldn't it be awesome if the human race came together and took a stand against #Facebook and other centralized media platforms? What if we actually stood UP for ourselves, just once and demanded the release of our #unique digital footprint? Now that we know our #data is being archived, packaged, and sold for top $dollar by Facebook and other #social-media platforms, what happens next? Do we continue using it, and say fuck it? Do we find new and innovative ways to compete with existing faulty #tech? With all of this finally coming to light, I am optimistic this post will light a fire inside of those who read it, in hopes of ushering in a new era in #technology, an era of translucency, efficiency, minimalism, and shared ownership.

I know, it all sounds so boring right? Who cares, I mean, it's just a bunch of 1's and 0's stored on a machine in a big warehouse somewhere in china, how much is my data really worth anyway? Most of us "regular" humans don't really think about all this stuff, not because we're ignorant, or incapable of understanding it, we're just too busy working our regular 9-5. I can only speak for myself here, but I've been doing this "work" thing for over 16 yrs now, and I've always thought it was odd. That "boss" human has the life, right? The typical human #slave works anywhere between two weeks and a month before they get paid, for tasks they have already completed. We have tech now that would allow real time payments by #employers, why are we not implementing it? I truly believe organizations have been taking advantage of us, and expect us all to accept whatever rules they implement, no matter how ignorant these rules are. Well, fuck that, no way, I just can't ignore it all anymore, society must evolve, and I'm taking action.

I didn't come from money, but I've been around it allot in my life, so I'm able to have an educated conversation with those who have allot of it. My grandparents busted their ass in the 30's and came out here to California by way of Missouri and did pretty well, eventually becoming business owners and bosses themselves. My parents however didn't follow in their parents footsteps, let's just say they didn't buy into the whole school, work, boss, and bank thing. My parents didn't even graduate high-school and eventually they were; shunned by society, cast into the poverty circle, and never heard from again. Needless to say, as the only bastard child of "useless" human beings, I've seen pretty much any and all "work" being "offered" to human beings on this #planet. Most of these "jobs" shouldn't even be done by humans to begin with; monotonous things, boring things, things that don't stimulate the mind, things that weaken the immune system and expose us all to new and complex diseases. I'm telling you, Mark Twain was an alien sent down to prevent this shit from happening, but of course, we humans have this genetic flaw, that literally prevents us from taking action unless it's an obstacle facing us right now, preventing us from eating, shitting, fucking, drinking, or gambling. So of course we ignored Mr. Twain's warnings, and now society, at least to me anyway, feels like a #fucking science experiment or something. You know what they say, humans are descendants of rodents...

Our #humanity; ideas, images, music, writings, drawings, paintings, all of these beautiful human creations are what I call gifts from the #universe. I've been in the tech field now for over 10 yrs, and I've been waiting for cryptography, peer-to-peer transactions, decentralization, and secure data storage to find it's way into the mainstream dialogue. Well, believe it or not, I'm here on my VPN, using a #blockchain dapp, built on these very same principles, to tell you, my fellow humans, that we have arrived, It's time we all came together and joined forces to save this technology from realizing the same fate as all the rest. it's been a long time since we've collectively worked together and demanded change. I know our past comes with some positives and negatives, but we don't have to let these learning experiences separate us any longer, we must remember that we are all human, and our one real objective is life on this planet and the protection of the universe.

Wouldn't it be cool if we actually had enough signatures to walk up and demand the resignation of local, state, and federal #politicians who have excepted corporate money, and used the current archaic system to steal from the citizens they took an oath to represent? I mean, don't you feel helpless sometimes? These companies have taken over the #net, the greatest open source and public, most widely used method of communication across the globe, and have slowly used it to take away our privacy and personal freedoms, all while a very large portion of human beings suffer from poverty and an increase in anti social behaviors like; not knowing who lives three doors down the hall, and "looking at the ground as you walk by each other", and don't get me started on the old, "let's glance at nothing on the smart phone, so I don't have to say hi".

I personally can't watch this country go down like this, my family comes from immigrants who came here from Germany. My grandparents battled the great depression, throughout all the peaks and troughs, and never complained, and eventually came out pretty good for themselves, retiring earlier than normal, and now living a very quiet and peaceful life. Why should it take so long for us to be able to enjoy life, I mean some do, but the majority of us won't enjoy real LIFE until we retire after 65 yrs of labor.

The reality is this; we as a collective "society" if you want to even call it that, have been duped. That's right, taken to the cleaners yo. These fuckers have extracted our individuality, wealth, knowledge,and privacy without having to offer any sort of remedy or economic reward. Essentially; social media applications have stolen our identity, shared it for profit without our knowledge, and third party companies sold it back to us for a profit. It's literally the biggest scam in human history, and I'm appalled more people aren't taking actions to combat it. I know we've all been taught to look out for ourselves, and there are allot of people, especially on #steemIT that are tired of all of the ignorance from what most people call "The Masses" who honestly believe we have the greatest country in the world. I'm here to plead with you, all of you, to find it in your mind / soul / body to educate those that are willing to open their minds and ponder, even for a moment, what a new society like this would look like.

The first step I've taken on this journey, is moving off the old net, and onto the #deNet, and utilizing open source projects which harness the power of decentralization. This new method of allocating resources across multiple machines has proven to be more secure than the current centralized system that is in place now. A recent example of why centralized web services are more risky is the latest MEW hack, where (AmazonWebServices) experienced a major DDOS attack on one of their server centers. Apparently #Amazon was unable to handle the size and scale of this attack so the assailants were able to extract over $150K worth of Ethereum through the MEW blockchain interface. Most of the communication taking place on the deNet is encrypted by default or has a user friendly option to enable it.
The deNet utilizes an open and public ledger that gives users insight into the organization hosting the applications, and in most cases even rewarding the users for contributing resources and time supporting the ecosystem. If we all do our part, and push for what we believe in, they won't be able to stop us. This is not a call for a revolution, this is not a call for marching, protesting, crying, anger or showing any kind of emotion other than love for the present moment you are in. We are individuals all doing our part to share the love and joy that we want to see throughout the world. We are doing this for our children and our children's children, so that they may be able to live a free life on this planet.

I am a small shark in a sea of whales, but I've taken steps to begin utilizing the power of a decentralized financial system, to begin the grass roots campaign that will bring people together and work towards; securing our data, taking back control of our technology, pushing the limits of an open source ecosystems, and eventually implementing these new technologies into our governmental body. #TheAlliance
