I began to take notice of Steemit
My attention towards Steemit started
我开始注意到Steemit是源于我新闻学学位论文的构思。在与导师讨论意向时，我感兴趣、有志于研究的是目前传统社交媒体平台现状与互联网建立之初的去中心化理念日渐背道而驰的现象。平台背后的公司在信息传播过程拥有越来越大的权力，比如可以限制流量、决定用户可以看见的内容、乃至删除内容甚至夺走用户生产内容的权利（禁言）。一系列问题也在现行的社交媒体模式中越来越凸显：侵权、造谣、煽动等等。
在缩小选题范围的过程中，接触到了区块链这一概念。作为近两年流行起来的技术，已有越来越多的人围绕其展开讨论，清华大学新闻学院2018的研究生考试复试中也针对这一概念出了考题。通过了解区块链的一些技术特点和应用场景，我认为这项技术有可能为现下的社交模式存在的问题提供解决方案，国外新闻传播学界也已出现了相关的研究文献。
