1 Month into Steemit & Still Can't Stop! - Steemit Love and Lessons Learned

An Experience Like No Other

36 days later and I'm still here. Still loving everything about Steem and the Steemit platform. Yes, I have had some ups and downs, lessons learned, and trolls HAVE been battled veraciously. Yet I am reaffirmed in my decision to join the Steemit community. From day one this beta community has been something of a wonder. Fairly new to crypto currencies, Steemit caught my eye with a quickness and it wasn't long before I was signing up for a new Steemit account to call my own.

Within 24 hours I was armed with my new account and ready to take on the world... from the shadows... over here! Almost a week would pass before I finally decide to test the waters. Those first couple days were spent clinging to the walls like kids at their first school dance. Wanting to get out there and shake my thing and strut my stuff but way too nervous to just jump right in. Not only am I new to Steemit and crypto currencies in general, blogging/vlogging is just as alien of a topic.

I Wasn't Born Under A Rock

No, I wasn't ignorant to what blogging and vlogging was. Quite to the contrary! I actually run a successful visual media firm and we specialize in web based marketing and design campaigns of all shapes and sizes for our clients. I just am not the guy in front of the camera or taunting their talents through post after post of self-indulgent bullshit. I'm the guy that understands how to design the campaign, target the focus demo-g's, and maximize ROI's. I make rich people richer and do that very well. My experience serves me well as I in turn serve others. Flyers, business cards, promotional materials, websites, whatever clients can imagine. We do all that, custom-to-order, all day everyday. I'm ready to be FREE!

Time to pass on my knowledge and experience to the younger crowd and be free of the toil. Steemit could be that vehicle for me. Who knows? If nothing else, it is a heck of a lot of fun! I can spend hours searching through content depending on what I feel like at any given moment. I can't stand to look at Facebook any longer than I have to anymore. If it's not a real post with pictures and text of my family and friends, it is all spam. I glance through to see if there is anything real and then I am off to Steemit. I can't wait for a couple years when all my friends and family are finally on Steem(it) instead.

I've dabbled in all kinds of original posts from memes to art, gaming, and various challenges, writings, photography & business. All kinds of stuff and as long as it is original/quality, there is an audience! How great is that?! The rules are fairly simple and straight forward. There are some shades of grey areas but it is best to simply not fight the system and instead use it for exactly what it is. A blogging platform that promotes quality as demanded and curated by the members of the community. It really doesn't get much better. If you are new to Steemit and still not sure what to think. I would say simply stick with it a little longer and give it a fair chance. What have you got to lose? Nothing! With everything to gain.

Thanks for taking a second to check out my 1 month rant. I'll shut up now and get back to trying to create something with a little more oomph and fun to it for everyone. Just had to take a second to acknowledge how quickly time has flown by! Steemit is apparently on that "casino time". That is when you walk into a casino and it is night time. Walk out and it's daytime. Steemit is just like that!
