Posts, Comments, Votes, Transactions Disappearing?
Dear Witnesses, and brainy developers of Steemit!
Attention of our valued WITNESSES and Steemit DEVELOPERS.
I just received the second report in addition to my own experiences of
- Posts
- Comments
- Resteems
- Transactions
being NULLIFIED BY STEEMIT, although initially confirmed by the system. Usually, second attempts do go through. This also applies to votes that were cast and then not counted. The problem appears to be intermittent.
I made a transaction to @discordia today in the amount of 0.001 which I could see for about 10 seconds in my wallet. It then disappeared, and I had to transfer the amount again. Note that the balance reverted back to the original amount, so nothing was lost.
I am including a list of all whales and witnesses that I am aware of below as to grab your attention via 'mentioned' notifs.

Just spoke with a developer who stated that this is a KNOWN issue, which is currently being debugged and looked at. PLEASE: Save your work as you go, particularly if it's longer work, or simply COPY the article/comment into the ClipBoard before submitting and you're sure it's posted. Once it is visible on Steemit - (check after 30 seconds), it will stay there. ch
Please forgive me if you are not involved, but we certainly would appreciate bringing this to all Steemian's attention who can look into this. We are concerned that there could be a bigger problem on the Steemit platform at this time.

It is a known issue. The dev team is looking into it and working on a solution.

This was spontaneous after receiving two reports and having experienced it myself several times. Also had reports and similar experiences in the last few weeks.
Best Advice in the Interim
Save Your Posts External to Steemit and Double Check Afer 2-3 Minutes If they are indeed in the system.

I have separate issue. No notification except transfer are working. If any one replied or mentioned me in comment I used to get notification in Steemit. But now nothing is working. I have already shouted on many comment but no one replayed.

I noticed notifications only intermittently working since - late last week.
Best way around it is to use eSteem on a mobile. eSteem Mobile.

Yeah - It's hanging whenever it tried to refresh a feed. I know. Reported it, too to @good-karma.
Happened on two posts where I commented, upvoted and resteemed.

Yes, it happened several times to me in the past - so that's not a new thing per se - but it seems to be more frequent since yesterday.

Glad I'm not the only one going through that hell. Today a friend told me my account wouldn't even show up for him. I had been having a lot of glitches in esteem, busy.org and even ChainBB, and other's. Thought it was just them, because I hadn't had an problems in the official Steemit site. Not until my friend said he was having problems here that came to mind maybe, Steemit is going through some updates?
Yes, Steemit just went though 19.01 - best to check out categories witness and witness-category to stay up to date.
Always do the drafts off line using a Markdown editor.

Regardless - these good people are working on the issue to try to improve reliability. At least, it puts me at ease that the system is not falling apart. Phew...

I wouldn't worry too much about falling apart... They have a hiccup every once in a while... Now if they can just fix the price of SBD...
