Just spoke with a developer who stated that this is a KNOWN issue, which is currently being debugged and looked at. PLEASE: Save your work as you go, particularly if it's longer work, or simply COPY the article/comment into the ClipBoard before submitting and you're sure it's posted. Once it is visible on Steemit - (check after 30 seconds), it will stay there.
Regardless - these good people are working on the issue to try to improve reliability. At least, it puts me at ease that the system is not falling apart. Phew...

I wouldn't worry too much about falling apart... They have a hiccup every once in a while... Now if they can just fix the price of SBD...
