Witnesses on steemit are your assurance of confidence in the system.
When you vote for witnesses, think about someone less obvious:
Listed at No. 53 is @timcliff, not even appearing on the list because you can only see to number 50. You have to write his name in the box! One for the scrutineers. @timcliff is a really good steemmate of mine, a very trustworthy and dependable guy who thinks for himself and for you.
Gandalf is No.17, the person who gave me a realisation that despite all the fake names, we have humans; he is a techy looking after security. He is listed as @gtg but he is known by his Mum and on Steemit Chat as Gandalf!
So, go to https://steemit.com/~witnesses - you need your authorisation password
And be sure to include 17 @gtg & 53 @timcliff
I give up :D
enigma or some other cryptography encoding machine

Revised format idea - a few captains, each gets three team members making a team of 4 and they have 24 hours to submit their answers. This promotes interaction and has a bit more fun to it. What do you think? Please add ideas if you would like to. I would love you to be a captain too!

I think it's a great idea. My only concern is the internet rendering most general knowledge competitions redundant. Could you come up with cheat proof questions? Also, I'd be happy to be a captain.
Yes, the internet does pose problems but the object is collusion. My questions like Pi and the difference machine are hard to research on the internet, as are crossword clues.
I think I can structure it ok
Thank you for agreeing to be a captain - that is great!
Responsibilities are light! Get a team and agree how to communicate
I shall be in touch!

I shall send steem forthwith!
Thank you. You've made my day. I shall go to bed elated and dream sweet dreams of fortune and fame!
Well done my brother , our clash was worth it :D , you helped me get to the third place I'm enthroning myself in :d , my bed :D , gratz to the winner :D , Cheers for the contest , did myself a favor for following you today i suppose :)
Perfect!
Thanks again
with those answers I'm surprised I got anything, I think I didn't get anything :D all my answers were wrong , maybe the matchsticks can be argued based on perspective since 22/7 is pi ? really :D and that a bomb joke is a bit of British dry humor :D
my apologies if that Ultravox/Japan caused any offence; it certainly was not supposed to - in fact it did not occur! I should be more thoughtful! Sincere apologies.
yes, 22/7 is Pi; the rest are dependent upon whether people rush to google or whatever ... I tried to suggest collusion but ...
I hope that you gained more than the 1 steem I sent you!
Thanks again for at least having a go!
oh thank you :) I was busy following up :D realized from your reply it was about time , so @pfunk got a close call :D
