Personal Preference Swarms
Personal preference swarms are an emerging technological capability for participants on Steemit. Personal swarms are personal software agent networks owned by individuals. These software agents are typically called "bots" and an alternative for personal preference swarm is personal preference bot networks.
PPBNs work by allowing the individual to delegate tasks to their personal swarm of bots which can act on their behalf. This can include shopping for example where Alice uses intention casting to set forth her bot(s) in accordance with her intention to find the best deals for a acquiring list of items.
These PPBN's in theory should be able to integrate and interact with DApps, DACs, DAO's, virtual states, or even traditional centralized entities.
It's all about the agents!

The power of bots is not just the power to up or down vote on the Steemit platform, but is also the ability to have these bots trade in a market place on the behalf of their owners. What if everyone could have this capability to buy or sell whatever they want using intent casting via bots (agents) by default? These agents would be dramatically empowered by the blockchain technology.
What problem does this solve?
It solves the problem of attention scarcity and adverse selection by utilizing automated transparency. Human shoppers typically are not rational and also do not pay attention to details. A human being for example may not have the attention or time to read every ingredient for every food product they buy to make sure it doesn't contain anything unethical or harmful. As a result many humans eat products which contain substances they are unaware of. This technology would provide for automated evaluation of quality in products.
Fitness criteria (swarm preferences) and swarm intelligence
When PPBN's (Personal Preference Bot Networks) converge then purchase patterns can favor certain "fitness criteria" which we could call swarm preferences. So the personal preference bots allow for intention casting as well as an automated multi-agent system of supply and demand. Provenance allows for the necessary transparency so that the intelligent swarm can know whether or not what is being supplied meets "fitness criteria" aka swarm preferences.
What is Provenance?
Provenance solves a particular part of this problem by revealing exactly how the products are made. If Provenance has an open API which allows for easy integration with bots then bots could scour the Internet for products which meet the fitness criteria of the swarm of bots. Those bots would then purchase the most fit and avoid purchasing the least fit.

@dana-edwards This is great stuff! Have you noticed what I just noticed about your blog? Go to your blog and look at all of your postings as a whole. Your posts with brightly colored nature picks uptop are doing thousands of dollars each. But your blogs with more muted colors aren't faring nearly as well.
Do a google image reverse search on your images and you'll find that "nature" comes up as the basic theme on all your highest paying blog postings.
Bet if you swap in a nicer pic with less muted and flat colors, this blog post skyrockets too.
If it works then you'll have basically proven the idea with hard data.
You should do this soon BTW new rules in effect mean you only get paid for the first 24hrs a blog is up, then once more in a month and that's it.
