Here are some paintings I did in high school, They are acrylic paint on canvas board.
I always loved painting stuff from my imagination!
I've never been amazing at painting. I'm better at drawing, But with practice I know I'll get better! ##
I like the third one. The eye is cool, and it reminds me of this cover art from William Gibson's Neuromancer:

I've actually never heard of him! BUt holy cow that is amazing art!! I love surreal art like this.
Yes, it's quite amazing. By the way, Varo was a woman.
I first saw her work at the Museum of the Arts here in Guadalajara, and I was blown away. In some of her paintings, she uses mother-of-pearl to produce iridescence, so photos or prints don't necessarily capture their essence. If you ever get the opportunity to see one of her exhibits, I recommend it.
Oh my gosh! Even better I will! I love learning about new artists! I love seeing more female artists, Because back then women weren't represented as much :)

You are correct there. Anyone can get better with time and I believe you will find the time in which you want to invest in your painting. If it is such a passion in which draws us in we will always find a way to make the time we want to invest in it.
You are really good. The last two are my favorites.
These are straight imaginative....I feel like they could each speak their own dream.

I have looked at each one 4 times, and each time I see something new. There is a lot going on in each painting!
My favorite is "nude redhead in a rowboat" :D I feel like she decided to skinny dip and one of the whales stole her clothes!
