I'll tell you what I take away from it, and if you look at 2 hour charts for the last several months, you can see that someone does it routinely and intentionally. It's 100% pure manipulation. I've intentionally set sell barriers within range of the spikes numerous times and they will literally go to the satoshi before my walls that can be half the spike height of the trend and never buy a single satoshi of my sell price. It's clear that someone single-handedly manipulates the SBD price on Poloniex.

I'm very self taught when it comes to watching charts etc. I started learning terms and things after doing it for about 2 years so if some of my terminology is weird that's why. I'm not uninformed when it comes to crypto investing, but I'm not from the investing world if that makes sense. I have weight in 4 coins right now and all of them are up 20-50% after the bitcoin dip and rise. I know how to spot bullshit and buy at the right times. I don't want to sound like a fear monger or anything, but steem price is heavily manipulated :(
well you can always use "thirds rule strategy" in any coin or assets to minimize risk or loss and mostly GUARANTEE gain even if it is small gain...
$3 Steem would be exceptional. We need to increase our active user base by at least 300%! I am not trying to complain without a solution, but 1000-1500 active authors and 5000 active voters?? Steemit is still in the beginning. Prepare for the Steem dollar to rise more when we have 50,000 or 150,000 active authors and 300,000 voters. Tell your friends about Steemit! And use the eSteem app if you want that realtime-feel.
Oh, I tell people and have guided a few into the platform, not one of them is active yet. One just started posting in the last few days, which is good news for all of us.

Normally a Steem Dollar is worth within a few cents of a US Dollar. This helps protect your earnings from the volatility of Steem. With it going this high though, on this particular exchange, it was worth almost 50% more than a US Dollar.

Could go up as people discover it via Poloniex. Right now it is selling at $0.11 with a buy of $0.14 (over the weekend both were around $0.16 up to $0.18 with very little difference between them.
