I enjoy learning how people find certain things in life. Steemit is something we all have in common here, and I was going to ask some of these people their stories on this anyways. Just part of my life philosophy.
They give a quick overview of how they came to be on Steemit. Some are maybe more well known in some circles than others but as I have said before, we are all in this together and we all have a stake in this Community.

At the time I am posting this -- there are only 50 views on this video from earlier in the week and Stella works hard on her videos and well -- just about everything else so I am posting this for a few reasons consistent with my beliefs:
- To support her work. She has a big heart. Consider opening this on YT and leaving her a comment there / also!
- To continue supporting Community and build it. It's not perfect but we are all trying.
- To support the others in the video - see above point - related. I know most of them, they are nice!
- To show support for the @steemit platform that the founders @ned , @dan / @dantheman have given us. They are kinda like our Steemit Dads. I guess that will be my next hashtag on here I come up with lol.
- To continue my quest to boost ENGAGEMENT + COMMUNITY.
Also -- if you open the YT direct video link up -- you will see comments by myself (one of the Google profiles I have) -- and those of a super neat guy whose picture and name there match what you will find on Steemit here - @fulltimegeek - He is very helpful and gifted in the IT/Crypto end of things. I guess he is kind of a Full Time... Geek so you now know more about him LOL.
I have enjoyed and benefited from having these people on my list of followers etc. - I tagged them here so you might find/add/see them easily and maybe you will too.

I do not have much in the way of Steem or power on here but I am willing to invest some of what I have to lead by example and support the idea of community. This is my first ever post like this giving stuff away other than my Donation Posts, and as I wrote this today, this idea came to me. I have talked behind the scenes a lot with @stellabelle lately and we have shared some of our challenges and struggles and this is my way of trying to DO, not just talk. I have always been that way as an ACTIV-ist.
It's the ACTIVE part that most people miss.

It's cool to start connecting faces with accounts, I followed a few already and am now following them all. As Steemit grows its own personalities will bubble to the forefront. I found Steemit through @dollarvigilante via @pressfortruth but on Facebook. I follow Dan Dicks on YT&FB and he started hanging out with Jeff Berwick in his videos. Jeff accepted my friends request on FB and then early August he shared that $15k Steemit post which got my attention. I've been getting more serious about Bitcoin in recent years and I thought I would jump into Steemit!
@barrydutton Done, and I accept your Steem but I have one further request. Mention me in your next post, that you will write, explaining how this new voting % thing works. There's a lot of confusion and I have no idea either. Is a 1% vote a downvote? Does it let you vote 400 times? I found this post on my search for answers.
1% is not a downvote. It just means you are offering a vote at 1% of your available voting power to someone. The vote still shows up in the system here as a vote... and I understand all the reasons but this is what I mean about people actually opening a post and reading it and ENGAGING -- something I have been saying a lot for many many weeks with others.

I like the initiative, I just don't want to be in the video myself and I don't feel comfortable suggesting to anyone in particular that they should. Even if we got a video together, I'm not sure were we'd try to get people to notice it. Should we advertise on youtube? Idk...
I've also noticed that we all are very busy people and that few seem very open to engage in activism at all, often myself included.
The post I did on voting for Steem on a new exchange got over 50 votes, but only a handful of people followed the instructions in the post and voted on the exchange itself. Today another cryptocoin community apparently flocked to the site and upvoted another coin to the heavens. Tough luck.
But that's why I opened up the channel. So that we can link and discuss these types of posts among people that are already fired up and want to do something.

I love your ideas including this one. You are worth , at least, your weight in gold. I'm trying to save my office after dropping everything in my life for so long but want you to know you have a friend here and as soon as I get back on my feet I hope to foster our relationship.
