To make your time more enjoyable on Steemit, you want to increase your following. You can increase your following by multiple ways:

1. Upvoting
2. Following
3. Resteem
4. Post
5. Comment
   These are all different types of ways to increase your following.

What would I do/have done?

All of them, b*tch!

Start posting about stuff that interest you, start commenting on stuff that you find interesting, start resteeming things that will benefit the community, start following people that post stuff that interest you, and start upvoting like a mad man! You have nothing to lose.

The answer is, engage!

Part 2 - Why Gain Followers

A lot of posts are being made and imagine how it will be in a few months maybe weeks, when all those Asian people really gets going. God bless them, they make this community grow...FAST!

You have the chance to become a well known user on Steemit right now! To become a well known user on a social media takes time, but right now is the time. It is the time because Steemit is still in Beta, and still has only a few thousand users. Imagine how much harder it will get when Steemit has millions of users. The struggle will be real..

Part 3 - Why Use Steemit?

Buuuuut, if you only post for the money, most of your time on Steemit will feel like a drag. Just like that shitty job you already have. Here you have the opportunity to post about stuff to inspire people. Let not Steemit become another version of Facebook, which we all know we only use because of the messenger app...

Let Steemit be a way for you to communicate with people so you can be inspired or inspire!

Part 4 - Make A Successful Post

So when you know what you should post about, and how you should get your followers by engaging, and why you should do so, we can start practising at making a successful post. I am not saying I know how to make a successful post...Or actually I did, but what I am trying to say, is that these things worked for me:

1. First of all...Write about stuff that interest you! It's a cliche, just like that "be grateful" shit, but it works!
2. Make your post organised and interesting. Get to know this guide It will help you...a lot!
3. Use the right tags. Don't use tags like health, life, steemit, just because they are trending when you are writing about a rugby game.
4. Use pictures. A picture says more than a thousand words..So just add three pictures and you have 3.000 words. Easy.
5. Engage! If you want your post to be seen, it helps if you engage. Commenting and upvoting!
