It's Friday already and time to reveal the mysterious product that all the contestants of Steemit Iron Chef are eagerly waiting to discover!!! Are you ready for this 13th round of SIC!?
Without losing too much time, let me present you the mystery product of the week...
STEEMIT IRON CHEF WEEK #13
The product for you to work on this week is...
ORANGE
Woo-hoo...after working on a different vegetable for the past 3 weeks...time to get on a fruit...the first citrus to be on SIC!!!
The possibilities of using oranges in cooking is just vast...it can be used in making a starter...or main course and even dessert! Such a versatile fruit!!!
All you have to do is simply sublimate/elevate/transform this wonderful product!
Before anyone asks, let me clarify that you can use any variety/color of oranges you wish, be it common round ones, Navel, Blood oranges, Valencia, ...etc!!!
Kindly follow these easy rules to get your entry validated!
- Create a post and title your entry 'Steemit Iron Chef 2017 #13 : Name of your dish'
- Make either a starter or main course or dessert with the product of the week.
- Only one entry per person is allowed.
- Make sure to use #steemit-ironchef tag in any order you wish, so that I don't miss your entry!
- Only new recipes will be accepted, so I need at least one photo with your name and date on it.
- I don't need to see your step by step preparations/recipes, just make the list of the products used, describe your dish and add some photos to get my attention! Make it sweet and simple!!!
- Post a link of your entry here on this post and also share your entry on our discord channel - https://discord.gg/R3R26k8 to get some more support from the people there!
- The DEADLINE for submission is NO LATER than Thursday 30.11.17 at 10:00am UTC.
Any participant not following these simple rules will be considered a non validate entry.
Be the most creative , inventive and refined possible, you'll win a lot of points...
Winners will be announced every Saturday!!!
WEEKLY PRIZES
Each week you have a chance to win SBDs, Whaleshares, Voiceshares or Skillcoins when participating in Steemit Iron Chef!
Normally the top 7 are rewarded each week...but some weeks I even give some bonus rewards to those regular contestants!

Hey @progressivechef thank you so much for bringing this content to life, I love the idea! I heard about the #steemit-ironchef contest only recently and, given my passion for cooking, I was interested immediately. When I first found out about this week’s ingredient, I was a bit skeptical at first: I am not really good at making deserts or fruit salat, and for what else could I use an Orange then? But then an idea hit me and I came up with a dish I never cooked before - what a lovely example of how steemit can stimulate creativity, isn’t it?
Here’s what I came up with: Fettuccine al salmone e arancia
