Steemimages week ten: Macro photography

Week ten of interesting photographs on the steem network. In the last 7 days we curated #macro photographs to upvote and resteem using @steemimages.

Macro photography is such a fascinating world that we get to see into using macro lenses or close up high resolution photographs.

Macro photography may seem quite straight forward but it can produce amazing images. The idea is to either use a macro lens or get very close to the subject and crop the image really tight to show the subject in much higher detail than in real life and in high resolution. This can be done with a smart phone if you have good lighting falling on the subject.

Tip 1

If you want to improve your photography. It can help if you to look at as many photographs as possible in the topic you are interested in and maybe even some genres you are not interested in just to get some new ideas.

In first place with 4 upvotes and resteems is @pinkfuzz with this fun edit and view into the minature world of mushroom houses.

Next we have @digitalis with 3 upvoted posts and with this amazing photo of a butterfly up close from the son's school project on metamorphosis.

Next we have @adibiqbal with 3 upvoted posts and an impressive close up on a red bug.

Next we have this beautiful capture of a raindrop from @astrophoto.kevin who had 3 posts upvoted. He takes photos while doing his daily walks.

And finally we have @nayya24 with two posts upvoted. This post of close up bugs is impressive.

These images above give us a glipse into a world we don't usually see. That is the power of #macrophotography

If they made you feel like looking at the world in a bit more detail then they have succedded.

@steemimages doesn't follow any accounts and we don't play favorites. The image quality (I.Q.) of the content is the most important point.

More people will see your work if it is tagged correctly. Using the most appropriate tags for your photographs will increase the number of views and potential upvotes that you may get from people interested in that topic.

All of us steemians on the steem network have a very simple task. To find the best content and reward it. What is good content is of course impossible to quantify as it is totally subjective.

Our criteria is simple. We are looking for image quality (IQ). Images that are sharp and in focus.
