3 Simple Ways To Give Back To Your Steemit Supporters!

in #steemhelp7 years ago (edited)

As a platform and a community, Steemit provides each of us a unique opportunity to give back to other people.

I am always trying to ways to give back to those Steemians who support me and my posts.

The following are 3 simple ways to give back to the people who interact with your Steemit blog and posts.

1. Reply to Comments

If you want to grow your following and increase interaction on your Steemit blog, you should actively reply to the people who comment on your posts.

For me the is a MUST do!

I am still in the development phase of Steemit blog, and I have to work hard it gain new followers.

And as a result, I always try to reply to engaging comments. To me, an engaging comment is a thoughtful reply that proves that the post was read.

Not all Steemians can reply to all of the comments they receive. As a Steemian's number of followers grow, it becomes more challenging to reply to all of the comments (potentially 100s).

2. Upvote Comments

And when an exceptional comment comes along, I like to upvote the comment. Exceptional comments add value to my post and/or show a high level of interaction with the post.

I TRY to upvote comments when I can, but I am not always able to do so. I rarely up vote a comment at 100% of my voting power because I want to save my strongest votes for great posts.

Important: If you are new to the Steemit community and have not yet built up your Steem Power, then you will not have access to the vote slider.

The vote slider allows you to upvote with less than 100% voting power. This slider is available around the time a Steemit user accumulates 500 SP.

When I started Steemit (and even to this day), I wanted to follow Steemians who cared for their followers by replies and upvotes on comments.

As a user with some experience, I want to give back to my followers in the same way.

3. Follow Back

I WILL NOT play the follow-for-follow game!

But, I like to check out blogs of people who support me. For some reason they were drawn to my blog or post, and I need to make sure that I give them the same opportunity to speak into my life.

And when I find great content that speaks to me, I make sure to follow them.

Your Turn

Upvotes, Comments, and Follows are important parts of the Steemit community!

Pick one or more of the following questions and share you answer in the comment section.

  • Do you spend too little or too much time replying to comments on your post?
  • How do you decided which comments deserve an upvote?
  • Do you have access to the Steemit vote slider?
  • What types of Steemit blogs do you like to follow? What information is most important to you?

I look forward to hearing from you!
