I am not really keen on levels or titles, like minnow, whale or dolphin etc. In my eyes everyone is at whale level as what matters most is the person behind these capacities. I have around 9.4 mv and i can easily be considered a minnow but does it matter? 

Today, i am here to celebrate veteran steemians who are technically, still minnows. Even until hardfork 18, these ones celebrated, valued, cherished 10$/15$/20 rewards and even after the reward pool went empty and there was practically no financial rewards for about one month, these ones stuck and kept adding value to the steem economy in a variety of ways. 

Yes, if you recently joined steemit, i think the past should be recounted a bit, so that you can appreciate better the beautiful times during which you have reached steemit; but all this beauty is now firmly founded on many selfless minnows, who are still practically minnows and these ones should not be forgotten.

Yes, the past on steemit was rough. Bottomline is, many stuck around and were the voices behind the several hardforks that holds steemit at such a beautiful place today. 

I would like to see every minnow celebrated and yes, the older ones too, because surprisingly many who have been/stayed on steemit for many months have stayed minnows because only more recently, did the price of steem go past a dollar. 

I think it is only logical that veteran minnows are given recognition.

Yes, there were steemians who were here when the price of steem was 0.07 and who stayed. At those times, even when you got supported by a curation guild e.g @curie or upvoted by @ned, the CEO of steemit, you would be so glad to have earned 20 bucks! "We loved it!"

The above post was a high earner at the time but it had 11.68 $ on it! SBD was also pegged to 1 $ at the time!

These veteran steemians have proven sheer love for the platform. These were steemians who were here, when @cheetah was a downvoter. "@cheetah grew heart!"

Many of these steemians, joined in continuous voice for months; the spark behind the linear rewards model, that HF 19 has eventually been implemented!

What If Everyone Left When The Going Was Tough!

They form the very base of the beautiful steemit that we now have and that recent steemians are meeting and according to me; my views, they should not be buried behind. They should be allowed room to blossom.

Steemit is not a contest! There is no competition; there never will be!

Where i am from, we don't jump queues. 

One thing that i see and that is very obvious is that "the past" and the sleepless nights that happened in the past, is a basic reason for steemit reaching where it is. 

Yes, many veteran steemians who bought steem at around 3$ watched the price of steem fall drastically to 7 cents and they stayed resilient, working tirelessly to see steem to the moon again! This is heroic!

Recently, i have seen several @steemfestdreams initiatives working to make the steemfest dreams of steemians come true and this is awesomeness but one in particular caught my attention:

 STEEMFEST MINNOW: All expense paid trip to STEEMFEST

The initiative did allow minnows to participate i.e steemians with less than 10 million vests but such minnow, should also have less than 500 followers and i thought this posed a barrier to many veteran minnow steemians, who have amassed more than 500 followers over time. 

I believe many of these ones would have relished the opportunity to participate in this contest as several of these ones were on steemit before steemfest 1 and some watched it leave them by. 

I was able to exempt myself from proceedings and left a comment for @aggroed and he responded nicely, saying:

 If there's a good case I guess I can make an exception.

My Small Case

So i would like to start up the funding process for one veteran minnow steemian, who was here during SteemFest 1; who missed it and who would love to visit SteemFest 2. 

Basically, i will donate 50 SBD to one veteran steemian who meets the criteria above, then we will all try to support your entry to @aggroed steemfest-dream initiative; hopefully, he makes an exception!

Here is a list of people who are still minnows, here before Nov 2016 the month of SteemFest 1 and who have more than 500 followers:

We will choose the steemians with the highest number of upvotes to donate 50 SBD to, then we will have him/her create an entry into @aggroed steemfest dream initiative and we will all go there to support this entry.

Incase, there are two or more steemian usernames with equal upvote, i will choose the steemian with lower vests to reward!
