Life free from demonic oppression

In my last post - Abundant life in Christ, I discussed about the abundant life that Jesus offers and I said it is abundant life in every aspects. In the post I also discussed one of the aspects which is abundant life that is free from sin.

Today I will be discussing another aspect of the abundant life that Jesus offers which is a life free from demonic oppression.

The life of abundant that Jesus bring to us is a life free from demonic oppressions. Demonic oppression speaks about the activities of the devil that make life unbearable. Demonic oppression is diverse. Demonic operation is the activities of the devil around someone.

1. Demonic oppression can be a long-time sickness. A sickness that refuse to go after a long time attempt of treatment. Just like in Luke 13:10-18, Jesus healed the woman who had crippled by a spirit for eighteen years.

2. Demonic oppression can be demonic dream or nightmares. Jesus came to give us freedom from this also. There are some people that are afraid of the night because they know once they close their eyes, they keep having nightmares.

3. Demonic oppression can be repeated cycle of failure. If you found yourself trying and trying and every attempt result in failure. You see yourself getting close but before you achieve it, everything becomes scattered and it becomes unachievable. It is an indication of demonic oppression. Near success syndrome, rising and failing are also indications of demonic oppression also. Jesus has given us a life free from all these.

4. Another demonic oppression is long standing stagnation and barrenness. He came to give us abundant life from every form of barrenness and every form of miscarriages. Just like Jesus gave the man by the pool of Bethesda a new life in John chapter 5, the man was stagnated for 38 years.

I pray God will free us all from every demonic oppression in Jesus name - Amen.
