A place far far away... Part 01

I've been away from the city for a couple of days. Time that helped me regain my energy, health and also inspiration for art. Believe or not the more projects I had the more inactive I got. And that really made me uncomfortable and depressive.
That is why my mom suggested I should take a break and leave the city. We both decided to take a trip to my grandma who's living in a village near my hometown. The place is entirely controlled by nature and everything is sooo wild and free. We even have remains of a medieval town nearby.

Today will be filled with pictures of nature and art. Hehe, it's a great combination. ^.^
I made couple of sketches inspired by the green scenery which I'm going to share in several posts, because just want to share all my photos with you (if it's only one post, will be too long and boring).
Here's a sneak peek:
Last week I found some really interesting paper while shopping for materials for my dissertation. It has very strange but intricate patterns on one side that can actually guide me during sketching.
I tried taking pictures of the process, but wasn't good at all because of the specific paper shade. So here are the latest versions. The two girls (expect more later) will be surrounded by flowers, but I have to buy white pencils first. Unfortunately I've lost my previous ones.
The second one got stained by a paint, but hopefully I'm going to cover that mistake with some gold pen later.

I’ve been thinking about you, I am glad you are taking a good care of yourself despite the piles of work that you have to do. I like your sketches a lot, katchan, your ladies in this post look graceful and beautiful at the same time, a very good combination. And it’s been some time since you showed some photos, I like looking at them too. The place looks really nice and serene.

These sketches on blue paper are very nice. The colour and texture of the paper gives the figures a slightly moody feel but when you add yellow /orange on to it, it really pops !

Thank you, Spidey! Yeah, it was necessary for me to the point when I couldn't draw (I didn't feel the motivation to draw for couple of days). But I'm back on track now and want to share so much more. ;) ^.^
I tried painting with a gold paint, but the photos didn't show it well. I'll make another post after I add brighter colors. ^.^
