STEEM Talent: How Would You Like To Know The Value Of Your Cryptocurrency Instantly And In One Place: A Fellow Steemian Did This For Us!!!

In this post, I hope you will indulge me for a few minutes. Recently, one of our fellow steemians created a wonderful app that is great for anyone holding any cryptocurrency (which is all of us since we hold steem).
This free Android App was designed by @cryptoeagle. He is a software programmer by trade and he put together the "Crytpo-Millionaire" idea. Basically, his concept is that if you hold 1/1,000,000th of the world's currency, you will be part of the elite. The challenge as he sees it is that we do not know which currencies will end up being in the mix so he feels one is best to hold that amount of the top 10 or 20.
Personally, I am not into diversification to that degree but I cannot argue with his premise. That said, he created an app that I find invaluable as I am sure you will even if you aren't following his concept.
What I like about this app is it enables me to enter in the amount I hold of my different tokens and tells me exactly what my account value is. All pricing is tied to coinmarketcap.com and he programmed the app to be able to accept any of the top 100 tokens.
If you are a bit OCD like me, you can downswipe the screen and it will refresh to give you the latest pricing. It is always nice to see the account balance rising on a bullish day like today.
To alleviate some fears, do not worry, you are not entering any wallet information. When you choose a token, you are to enter the amount that you have. This is a manual but secure process. If you add more of that particular token, you will have to update the amount simply by pressing the add button in the token listing and entering the additional amount. This maintains the security while enabling us to have tracking of where our accounts stand.

Such a great review Taskmaster! I love it, you did it much better than myself. You know, programmers are really bad at communicating so your support here is greatly appreciated.
I'm so glad you like the app, and more importantly, that it's useful to you and possibly to many others. Plus, I believe this app will give many new crypto investors a tool to be diversified and protected with multiple holdings on the top coins. Eventually there will be a shakeup on the lesser ranked coins and those who are not diversified could lose a lot of money by betting on a particular losing horse. This would be bad for the entire space if too many people have to few bets on losing ICOs.

I really do like the app and am happy to do the article for you. You helped me a great deal when I first came on here so it is a bit of payback.
What is sensational about this is the real time portfolio pricing update. I have some of my holding in paper wallets which means I have to manually figure that into my computations for my holding. Plus since I dont have my other coins on a centralized exchange, my nano requires a chrome app for each coin...which is a pain.
You app let me enter the amounts in that I have and presto, instant account value.
By the way, you never responded, I am about $315K down on my BTC and ETH holdings for your program....can I borrow a few satoshi (like 2 billion)?
Actually I did respond but it seems the mobile steem app failed and the message never went through.
I'd be happy with whatever amount you can safely afford without ever going into debt or anything like that. The thing is, half of a millionth of holdings is still a lot of money for any global reserve currency and all the app gives you is a goal, not set in stone.
Something that I like about this strategy is that even though one may never reach the goals, we'll always be happy that we did as good as possible without overinvesting or underinvesting in a particular coin or going into debt. I sleep soundly every night knowing that I have a diversified crypto portfolio.
And that is the key. We know that cryptocrurrencies will take off, we just arent sure which ones.
My holdings basically are BTC, LTC, ETH, STEEM, and BTS. I feel very comfortable with that at this point. I also have a decent stake in a coin I mentioned a few times that is out but having the platform around (website, wallets, etc) updated. It passed the trial phase, now it is being fully automated.
I feel I have the basis for continued growth the the big three (BTC, LTC, and ETH) and the potential for explosion in STEEM and BTS.
Since you are invested in the top ones you can always play around with the upcoming ones I guess, as long as it's play money, life's gotta be fun too
He needs to be smart, has a good logic if we invest smartly and in time in the right currencies

I am glad you liked it as much as I did. I love that I can get an instant update about how much my coins are worth.
Almost one stop shopping....I need a couple more added at a later date, maybe they will tap the top 100 so @cryptoeagle will have to add them.
How many coins do you think should be included? Keeping in mind, too many would slow down the refreshing of the app. Would 200 be ok?
I would let it sit as it is for now. See how well it works for a month or so. I would try to get the SBD on there since we know there are many holding that on here right now.
200 gets you into a lot of shit and scam coins. I do not know how long it takes to add one but I would use a case by case basis for the next month. If one garners a lot of attention, then it can be added.
For example, I am going to put up a post in the next week or so, I hope, that announces a token that is freely given to everyone...that people simply have to sign up for and some is deposited weekly in their wallet. I call it proof of breathing. I hope most on here will sign up...costs them nothing....a great way for people to get into crypto without having money.
Downloading. Haha, the funny thing is that I was calculating today exactly the value of my investment in the crypto market, I have done this several times and it is quite tedious, since I have to work in Excel and I spend a lot of time calculating the value of the cryptocurrency manually.
This will make your life a lot easier. I know with paper wallets, different USB storage, steem, and whatever else one has, they can be all over the place.
This makes it mostly one stop shopping.

Aw, the way your post started I thought it tracked what ratio of the coin supply you had. I am trying to hit that millionth in all my coins.
It does. It tells exactly how many coins are needed to hit the millionth and how short you are in dollars (or over if you top the millionth).
