What will happen if someone posts a link to child porn? People can downvote it, but it will still be viewable. If the site is hosted in a western country it could be taken down, but the blockchain will remain. It will be interesting to watch this thing develop.
Steemit will not display child porn. It would be hosted on IPFS, but our IPFS nodes would delete any images with negative downvotes.
That's a good feature to abuse.
Does steem not have any moderators, or at least the plans for moderators? I moderate a sub on Reddit, and I can't tell you the amount of filth people try to post there. With out people able to physically cull through the slop, things get messy. Especially when a site gets as large as reddit. If Steem is to continue to grow it will definitely need good moderation.
Steem is decentralised. No mods.
SteemIT however is centralized and could add moderation
Users moderate by down voting crap to oblivion.
