The plan was to use 100 steem and then buy back 100 steem and spend the profit on EOS. That plan changed about 20 minutes ago and i have choose to keep the steem. I cash out my extra steem at the end of every month to buy other coins, this helps me to spend my risk in crypto's. As its the 31st in a few days and i will be buying more EOS, i decided to just wait the extra 5 days. Plus EOS has jumped around $2 in the last 2-3 days, waiting 5 days might get me some extra tokens.

From start to finish

I had made a post 2 days ago Click Here outlining my plan and included lots of screenshots as a walkthrough guide showing how to convert steem into ETH. I was going to make it a 2 parter but think its best to post the whole trade start to finish.

Setting up the trade 2 days ago...

Steem was sitting at around $6.80 and ETH was around $1040. Select blocktrades from your steemit wallet and use the ETH receive address from your EHT wallet and enter it into this page. From your Steemit wallet you can send any amount, it does not need to be the amount you enter into blocktrades, they auto sort it for you.



Make the transfer from your Steemit wallet using the address gave to you on blocktrades



After a few minutes, the ETH will have arrived into you wallet of choice. I use exodus because it was the first wallet i downloaded

Closing the deal and locking in profit

Fast forward 2 days, Steem is $6.20 and ETH is $1100 Again you will visit blocktrades from through your steemit wallet. This time select ETH into Steem and enter your steemit user name as your address. It will verify the account just above where you enter your username.



You are given an ETH address to copy. Open the wallet you are storing your eth on and send any amount to the address from blocktrades.

Transaction complete, now for the waiting game

And just to double, double check. I check my Steemit wallet. Trade done :)

That's it, hustle done and 10 Steem better off

Now i understand that these chances do not come along alot but they do come along. If you are holding steem and the price jumps 20%+ in 1 day why not convert it into a more stable coin and watch the price drop to buy back more. I feel i could have waited for steem to go to $5.80 but 10% profit today, right now is good. Dont be greedy and take the smaller profit. It's boring but boring wins the race, win little but often they say. This applies to other coins/tokens as well. I have done this with Tron, sold some at 20 cent on its way up then it jumped like 120% in 1 day and bought back even more when it dropped to 15 cent. Should have waited for 10 cent but i saw and took the profit that day, it looked to be the correct move and i got free tron.
I would advise anyone thinking about doing anything like this to start with a small trade, double check everything on every page before you hit confirm. Its crypto and if you make a mistake, you lose your money. Lastly and i think most important do not go looking for trades, they will come and go and you will see them when they come. By the time someone posts a tip on steemit are youtube, its too late and not profitable.
