The School Of Everything 2.0 (Part 2)

In my previous blog I discussed about the obsolete education system of the world. In this part, I will be discussing about my idea for a new kind of education system which could potentially be more of a true learning experience for a student. Before I hop into The School of Everything 2.0, I will use an analogy to explain this system better. So let’s roll into it….

Has anyone watched the 2016 movie Nerve? If you didn’t watch it then do check that movie out. The basic story of this movie is that there’s this game called Nerve where the Player has to complete a Dare given by the Watchers. If the player completes a dare then the Player is rewarded with money. But the game turns out to be dirty by the final round. As the game is part of the Dark Web, it is decentralized so there was no way the protagonists could shut it down. However, the code of the game is open source in the dark web and they somehow change the code and make every user sign out which automatically shuts down the game. Watching the movie once is pretty worth it.
But what is the relation of the movie with the education system? If you are sharp, by now you would have guessed that I am trying to use the game’s concept to start a School. Yep! That’s right, blending the dare game with education. I know that doesn’t make much sense, but trust me it is pretty cool.

How does it work?

Firstly, this School is not going to have any infrastructure, it is going to run on a decentralized platform, like a blockchain. So there will be no single authority to control the app and yeah impossible to hack. Every Student will become a Player and every teacher on the network will be a Watcher. The Players will be given tasks like figuring out how a DC Motor works. The basic principles on which it works will be provided to the Player like a pre-requisite knowledge. The Player will have to figure out how a motor works on his own using the principles provided. This way his creative brain will get stimulated and he will have to critically think to complete the task. The Player will be watched live from the mobile device by the Watchers (Teachers) and the watcher will decide whether the task was accomplished successfully or not. Based on his success, the player will be rewarded in a cryptocurrency called Exovate. Also life lessons of wisdom will be given to the players to prepare them to face the world. In this school anyone can become a watcher (Teacher) if he/she is creative, talented and good teacher. So the watcher will not need any degree, however, the watcher will be assessed based on creativity, knowledge, attitude towards learning and communication skills before getting selected as a watcher. They will also get paidown for being a teacher/watcher.

Level Up and the Trinity Bridge



In our conventional schools, students go to the next grade every year and also study more advance topics. But that's a very absurd way to increase the standard of a student because every student learns at his own pace, everyone has different learning capabilities. So in this school, as every student is a player, they have to complete levels. After every level completion, the player is rewarded with Exovates.
In each level they are taught the pre-requisite knowledge and are given tasks to complete. Once all the tasks are complete and the student is ready for leveling up. The process of leveling up consists of a series of assessments or tests (not a standardized test at all). This is called the Trinity Bridge (Because it contains three parts and is a bridge between levels)

  1. Firstly, A student needs to take a practical challenge where the player has to use all the knowledge he/she has gained in the current as well as previous levels to solve a given problem. This challenge covers all topics from social science, language, science, computer, math to values and life lessons.
  2. The player needs to create, design, write or think of something innovative on whatever topic he/she likes. The player has 360o of freedom to go wild with his/her creativity in this part of the Trinity Bridge.
  3. The final challenge is to assess the life lessons they have learned. In this part they will be given situations where they need to take wise decisions.
But one thing to remember is that not a single player can fail in the Trinity Bridge. These assessments will be used to make a report on the player's strengths, weaknesses, and wisdom. And accordingly the next level will be optimized to best suit the player. So, every level of a player is unique to that specific player and as a Wise Man once said,
Life is a journey which is unique to YOU. So, Don't compare your life with others
The initial levels of the player will cover every subject, but as the player completes levels, he/she can choose only those subjects that he/she wants to learn and excel in. The Trinity Bridge also helps identifying the interests and talents of the player. This way learning becomes fun for the player as the player does what he/she loves and the school also loves seeing the player happy, so it is a win-win situation.

My Final Thoughts


I believe and in fact everyone should believe that learning is like a fun game where the player loves playing the game and doesn't hate it. The schools today don't make learning fun but make it a burden for the students which sometimes leads to dark fates like suicides. True Education which is fun should be provided to the student and with this in mind I came up with the idea of developing school based on the movie Nerve.

Have you read "Deschooling society" by Ivan Illich? He was an early advocate of decentralization and a community of teacher/students. His ideas helped create the internet.

Nice idea but how about the teacher? they lost their jobs?
Good thought but lacking of details.
I think there are many corners of the idea you put on the table
that needs the details.

The watcher is the teacher. They will get paid for watching just like any other teacher. Thanks for telling me that details is needed. I will add more details to it. @iridion9

@iridion9 As this is another block chain so cant use steem dollar and moreover coin mining is needed so in this case using the application will act as a miner. I updated my post with the fact that teachers will get paid too for working. Thanks for the feedback
