Why Steem is the perfect place to be. Still have doubts?
I made a post the other day asking people the real reason why they are here. Obviously we are all crypto lovers. But why they chose Steem specifically? You see, Steem is a struggle. It's a daily fight to be noticed and produce something worthy to be upvoted...let alone that price wise things don't look good.
So why? Are you kinda masochist just like my self? You see, him and I often talk to each other and he usually is the best adviser. So after reading carefully all the comments people dropped, I decided to share my view on this question.
When it comes to crypto, I am bullish and obviously invested in 3 big names of the crypto sphere...
BTC
LTC
STEEM
Steem might not be among the contenders fighting for the top 10 spots...but there will be a day where....
...and a couple of small players that you wouldn't even know they exist. But that's just me. Do I need to remind you that this ain't a financial advise and bla bla bla?
So cut to the chase. Why am I here.
Just like myself and I agreed a few moments ago, Steem might look like a highly risk investment at this point (at least to those who have no clue) but it is also the most exciting and fun place to be, especially if you consider yourself an adrenaline hunter. Ok, I might exaggerated a little...or maybe not?
I can't really think of another mineable project that is also far from being boring and at the same time community driven. If you do know another one plz let me know.
And when you have to do with people, with real people, you always have fun at the end of the day. Don't tell me that your blood isn't racing the moment you hit the "upload" button when your post is ready. Mine is definitely racing to be honest with you all.
And then they anxiety..
"What will people think of my post?"
"Was it good enough to attract a few followers and expand my network?" or...
"Ha, I fooled them all...suckerzzz" --> most likely you will end up receiving a big downvote and your rewards will be grand zero, let alone that your reputation is in dander too...
Don't you have fun when you see abusers and plagiarists crawl back to their caves?
Don't you have fun when you come across great and also funny publications at the same time as you curate?
Don't you also have fun when people drop meaningful yet funny comments here and there?
Don't you feel great satisfaction when your work is rewarded?
Where's the fun in holding BTC?
I mean someday and just because it is the battle ram of all crypto, it will be the main reason that crypto have changed the global economy. But there is no fun at all till we get there.
Steem is the perfect place to be. Period. You might be here subconsciously and Steem be a part of your daily routine, but trust me, reasons like socialization...fun...alternative form of mining are what you were looking for in the first place.
I bet there were countless times where you turned off your pc and went to bed with a big smile on your face, just because of the great time you spent on Steem. What? NO?
Bottom line is...you can find everything in Steem. Education.. entertainment...fun...rewards...
Definitely the perfect place to be if you decide to get involved with crypto currencies...

You are right with this one for sure!👍👍 I love Steem. And am in the same coin owner ship as you. But as you say... What's the fun in holding BTC? You get to watch a chart go up and down....that's it. And oh yeah!!!....When i hit the upload button it's the start of amazing times. You never know who will stop by or if you'll get resteemed. PLUS...with #newsteem I'm having an amazing time. And i guess i make good enough posts to earn a little more then I was(20-70 cents) because with all the manual curation going on I am getting a lot more upvotes. But more importantly, a lot more engagement. I'm so excited about where steem may be going under this new direction. If I'm able to do okay i think the people who are really good are going to do so wonderful they'll want to tell their friends.
And while all this is nice, the main number one reason i am on steem(and always will be) us because it always me to document my family and our lives in a way that can never be stolen, banned or erased. I am doing this for my kids to have the memories forever and hopefully when they get a little older, they will see the value in this and will start in on their stories using the accounts i have purchased already for them. I think i have rambled too much.😁 Thank you for your love for steem and our amazing community we have here. I hope your weekend was awesome and we send our love your way.🤗

I agree with you, mindtrap. STEEM is the perfect place. You can play, transmit thoughts, be creative and the whole world is not even a stone's throw away, haha

Accumulating Steems secondary at where I am. It's more for my friends here and the communities I hang with. If my friends left then there will no longer any reason for me to be here. I value comments from living and breathing people over bots and bots have never really been engaging.

I agree on BTC and STEEM, I don't know a whole lot about LTC. I do like XLM though.
I keep tracking XLM as well. But I am concerned about its huge supply tbh
It's the best entertainment i have online. I can spends hours on it any day that I want and have something to do. Facebook holds my attention for about 5 minutes of PC crap and baby photos. I believe STEEM will be big and will be here the whole way through.

Next hardfork will be the big test for the future. Community, SMT's, rc delegation. Then we will see if the plan will work out.
I have a feeling that it will. For the first time in months I have a positive feeling about how things will play out.
What we really need is easy onboarding. Like two clicks only
Truth. That should be part of the rc delegation but some of the apps have taken it on as well. 3speak and travel feed are trying to bring in their own users and I can see the tribes getting onboarding before too long as well. Onboarding and being seen are the two biggest user issues that need to be sorted for people to get involved here. The technical side isn't important to them.
