Slipping some more

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

I would love to say that the current price of steem does not worry me, and for the most part that is true. But, because I know running nodes and running witness servers which are essential are not cheap, seeing us slip a little further does leave me a bit uncomfortable.

Truth is, the hype we've been riding on has been mainly focalized in Korean exchanges, and it's mostly based on wallets being reopened it seems, not a change of sentiment in the markets so to speak.

That being said, because I know the level of commitment that the witnesses of this blockchain have, I'm fully convinced that even if the prices dropped further, a way to keep the lights on would be found. I'm personally prepared to pitch in fiat if need be to keep @helpie signing blocks, but sincerely hope it does not come down to it.

I've been picking up some steem on the way down, on this particular way down, that is, and it seems that volume is dropping off, but we could go lower, I fully expect that to happen if I'm to be honest.

But, not to leave anyone with a bitter taste, the cheaper prices always have a silver lining. If you stay active, if you continue to add value, you are likely to accumulate a lot more aggressively at times like this.

Ah, and don't forget to have fun too...

Much love

We aren't going to make real gains until people are certain that Steemit isn't going to exit. They need to deliver more product.

On top of that, we still need to convert more SBD. We printed way too much SBD during the bull run and we are still paying the price for that. We had 3 million SBD before the run. We still have 11 million.

I'm honestly hoping that we dip down a bit more before we start to rise up again. I really do think we're going to have a strong rise after March. I do think though that this particular dip is due to the flash crash on Binance. It is likely that someone was attempting to sabotage the price of steam. Perhaps they did not like seeing us rise up on coinmarketcap so quickly.

At any rate, if we go down much lower I might have to get further invested.

In other words.... keep steeming!! Fire up lah!😂😂. (Lah) is a singaporean Words

There may be one more test for use holders and we should soon see what Steemit Inc’s true intentions are with the powerdown as actions speak louder than words but agree that we will come out stronger from this. I would be happy to help with a project like @helpie if necessary since you are behind it.

It's just a heartbeat what comes up like that must come down. I've seen it so many times. I don't worry steem is a good product. I see it as a multiple year investment.

seems like the bithumb theory played out exactly and now the price is just returning to the btc trend it was one before ... unfortunately, but i guess it was irrational exuberance to hope for more.

That's the problem if you have to see the price of a coin vs Fiat money. A bad way to look at it.
