Useful informations regarding Steemit.com #1

1. Steem

Steem is the name of a cryptocurrency and also the name of the tokens of this cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrencies are virtual currencies created through calculation operations running on microprocessors like cpus or gpus - the centerpieces of microcomputers.

BTC for example is one of the most popular gainig broader popularity day by day...

At its introduction in 2009 one BTC was worth a few cents, this week 1 BTC was worth more than $ 5000 !

If you invested 2099 just $100 you would have been millionaire in 2017 !

BTC are created through microprocessors solving calculating operations which get more complicated with every new operation.

So the difficulty of creating new tokens rises exponentially.

Those calculating operations are named with an unique code and all codes are stored in a so called blockchain.

The calculating operations are run decentralized and also every one who generates tokens posses a part of the blockchain in form of unique transactioncodes in his wallet.

One great difference to usual currencies is, that there is a limit to the whole number of tokens that will be reached in case of BTC 2022.

Steem Tokens are produced through generating transactions, content, resteems and votings on platforms like Steemit.com for example.

You can explore the Steem Blockchain with tools like this - click for example !

You also can explore your part of the Steemit Blockchain here - click by inserting you username instead of mine in the adressline of your browser - just try - it's simple !

One great thing is that Steem is a decentralized currency - that means the blockchain is stored on many servers (Witness nodes) so that is quiet unhackable because there always be some untouched witnesses of the blockchain !

Next parts of the series wil be dealing with Steemit.com, Ways of earning, tipps, tricks, tools - So stay tuned ;)

I am just a non-professional to computers, blockchain technology and finances - I just try to understand things !

I see trying to break it down to simple facts and to try to explain them to others as one of the best ways to manage understanding difficult and complex structures.

So the provided information might not be without mistakes - if you have some ideas to correct the content let me know in comment section - thanks !

Kind regards
