Has the Steemit Ship finally been stabilized? The last 24 hours have actually been quite good.
It's been a frustrating and infuriating few weeks on steemit, with the DDoS attack triggering an extended peruod of unstbility on the Steemit platform. Not many services haven't had periods of being offline, and there seems to have been witness nodes buckling under the pressure of the rapid growth of the Steemit Blockchain. But there funally seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel.
The new steemit.com interface is a big improvement, and the back-end seems to have regained its former stability, and is actually quite responsive.
No longer is the steemit logo looling like this..
While this troublesome period of instability has seen a sharp fall in the Steem price, It is quite reassuring to see it hasn't gone much below the 1SBD ->1USD peg.
If the stability of the platform can now be maintained for another few days or weeks, I suspect we should see some confidence returning, and the price of Steem start to climb back up to where it was 30 days ago, at above the $1.50 level.
Let's just hope the worst is over..
Steem on!!

Yeah, it's been refreshing to say the least :):) Upvotes, comments & posts all in good working order.
Back to normal Steem now 😀
Agreed, no more endless loop of circles...
It has been quite a relief to be able to post and comment normally again... and not sit in expectation of the next error message. Still have to be careful to not double post... but it certainly is a LOT better than it has been for a couple of weeks.
It sure is a relief, but yeah, still need to be cautious not to be impatient and double-post if it does start stalling again.
It's nice to be able to vote or post on the first try. :)
It seems quicker, but maybe that's because it was so stuffed up recently. Nice Steemboat😁
I'm gonna try and do some commenting and responding to comments now! I am working from busy.org now though. Switching over to steemit.com.
The last week has been ultra frustrating
Steemit.com seems sooo much better now. I'm not a fan of busy.org; I just dont like the interface, so I'm glad we're back to business on steemit.
same! and it seems to work well now!
I do like the way you can scroll through your feed on busy.org - its great for reading all the posts

Yeah, but the issue now that it has fallen below $1 is that strong support is now a strong resistance. I think it will need a big push to get it above that and may spend the next few months bouncing off that resistance.
Good point, but I think that is more a psychological barrier which will easily be broken as soon as confidence in the platform's stability begins to return, and demand for Steem Power increases. Well, I hope so....
Only time will tell my friend :D
