Team Australia Charity Update!!!
Today is the day people, we're going to decide on what charity to support.
There are 4 general themes to the charity, the execution and exact HOW's will be decided next week. So under this, I'm going to create 4 comments, 1 with each of the themes, and to vote, you need to comment on the one that you support.
1) Farmers - This will involve either care packs, or hay delivery to the farmers. For $5000AUD we can supply a full truck load of hay to an outback farmer.
2) Childrens Hospital - This can be anything from a piece of equipment, through to toys. I have done childrens hospitals in the past, they expect brand new toys, in the boxes.
3) Homeless People - Again care packs to make live a bit more bearable.
4) Christmas care packs to the troops - Aus Post have a system in place where we can ship a 2kg care pack for free to our serving troops on deployment.
Let me know your thoughts, This is a democratic process, so my opinion on who to support only carries the same weight as everyone else. There are pro-s and cons to each of these options, I don't know of 1 perfect solution to pick. The 1 thing we need to aim for those is that we can possibly get the recipients to start using Steemit and spreading the word of this ecosystem.
Once its decided in 7days, we'll start planning out how to execute it.

I'd like this if it wasn't just 1 farmer benefiting. Would prefer to see the charity spread around a bit.
Yeah, I'm a supporter of the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners - you don't have to buy a full truck - they are grateful for any donation. There has been a lot of rain in the affected areas but some farmers have missed out and still need help.

I like this option but not sure how we get homeless onto steem. I’m not sure that should be a priority either, but the advertising from contributing to the homeless could be leveraged to encourage more users onto steem.
I voted for this one 2nd because I just had an idea that would be simple and cost effective and really improve the life of some people.
