STEEM-POCALYPSE SURVIVAL GAME CONTEST - SEASON 6 DAY 2 ROUND 2 - 150 SBD PRIZE POOL SO FAR
THIS POST IS PART OF AN ELIMINATION GAME – DO NOT REPLY TO IT UNLESS YOU ARE PLAYING
In the last round the players had a chance to potentially locate some food. They will need to find some food before the end of today or they will starve to death, so the last round and this round are their only options. Let’s see how they did.
DAY 2 ROUND 1 RESULTS
OPTION 1 - Try to search an abandoned lot for any plants that may be edible.
The players that chose Option 1 snuck along the edge of a building, and slowly slide down in until it reached the edge of the abandoned lot. Lots like this can have lots of wild edibles in them, but did this one?
Sure enough, a plethora of delicious plants awaited our players. As the STEEM-Pocalypse survival game goes, mid-snack they heard someone coming and had to immediately run away to avoid death, so no backup supply was gathered.
The Players who chose Option 1 have successfully eaten and now need to eat prior to the end of Day 4 in order to avoid starvation. Congratulations. Please include the Day that you must eat by in your response to avoid starvation.
OPTION 2 – Try to search a looted grocery store across the street for anything that anyone else may have missed.
Quickly, the players who chose Option 2 ran into what was left of the grocery store. In a lot of ways, it looked like the flower shop. The majority of the windows had been broken and some of the store was charred from a fire. The floor is disgusting because the remnants of the overflowing sewer are still stuck to the floor.
It is amazing to see all the broken glass from containers that once held milk, pasta sauce and orange juice… Even in the desperate times immediately following the blackout people had been so greedy and selfish that they chose to break open valuable sources of nutrition rather than leaving them for others.
As the players are searching, they hear a noise. Someone else just walked in…
The players crouch down in an aisle and wait. The person also searches the store a bit, but gives up before finding any food or the hiding players.
Once the person is gone the players get some alone time to keep searching the store… but it turns out to be empty.
The Players who chose Option 2 found nothing. They will need to find some food this round or they will perish and be eliminated..
OPTION 3 – Try to search a few abandoned vehicles lining the street and crashed on the sidewalk.
Quickly the players who chose Option 3 rifled through the nearby vehicles. Time and time again they came up empty. Mostly the vehicles had been looted too, and if they had anything inside, it was garbage.
Something caught the players eyes though. What was that under that booster seat?
It almost looked like an unopened package of beef jerky. Slowly, and with much anticipation, the players reached beneath to see if the package was unopened... or empty.
Sure enough, it was FULL! Being smart STEEM-Pocalypse players, no one ate their jerky yet, because if they find food in this round, then they can save the beef jerky for a backup food supply. If they do not find food this round, then the beef jerky will automatically be consumed to avoid starvation.
The Players who chose Option 3 currently have 1 Backup Food Supply. If they do not find anything to eat this round, they will automatically eat the beef jerky to avoid starvation. Make sure to include this in your inventory or you will lose it. Congratulations.
OPTION 4 – Don't bother trying to find anything to eat this round and just keep going.
The Players who chose Option 4 obviously found nothing. They will need to find some food this round or they will perish and be eliminated..
DAY 2 ROUND 2 SCENARIO
The players are moving towards the edge of the city. Many are still hungry and must eat this round or they will die!
Sneaking along is a dangerous game. Thankfully, they haven't seen anyone... yet.
"Hey!"
A shout comes from behind. There stands a woman with a backpack. She appears to be unarmed and alone.
"I really need a weapon. If you have a knife, or a gun with some ammo, I would gladly trade 2 cans of food for it," she says.
Two cans of food are enough of a Backup Food Supply to last four days. The offer to trade is enticing, but it would cost a weapon, if she is telling the truth.
Can she be trusted? Is it worth the loss of a weapon. For players with no weapon, could she be overpowered and her backpack stolen? Is she alone? Is she really unarmed? Should you just shoot her, or stab her? Should you run away?
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 - Turn down her offer and try to continue on your way.
OPTION 2 – Try to trade a weapon for the canned goods. If you choose this option, you must specify which weapon. Also, if you trade a gun, you will give up all of your ammunition.
OPTION 3 – Try to shoot her dead and take the backpack instead of trading. (For players with a gun.)
OPTION 4 – Try to over-power her and take her backpack instead of trading. (For unarmed players.)
OPTION 5 - Try to stab her with the knife and take her backpack instead of trading. (For players with knife.)

All players must reply to my option comment below, not to this post. I will reply to my own posts with the options each in their own comments, and the players must reply to whichever comment has the option that they wish to choose.

Luckily I have a knife and pistol, which is easy to conceal. I don't want to risk trading and then my weapon might get turned against me afterwards. I would have loved asking the lady to join me, but there was no option for that. I will go with option 1 and not trade anything. Looks like I will be eating my Beef Jerky end of this round.

For me, a knife is too important right now! Plus, if she has accomplices that try to jump me, I still have a knife to defend myself. (If this were actually happening I would also entertain the option of teaming up with her. First moving to a neutral location and then taking time to get a read on her and her let me see her supplies so she can't deceive me or jump me at night.)

This situation is way too sketchy. I choose Option 1. Who needs beans when you've got jerky? I'll throw her the peace sign as I walk off, dreamily smelling my bag of jerky. Later, when I get some alone time, I'll consume the jerky.

I have a pistol w/ 8 rounds and a knife. I just ate at the abandoned lot. I will chose option 1 to turn her down and continue on my way. It seems to risky.
I have a pistol, 8 rounds of ammo, and 1 backup food (jerky), but I haven't eaten, so I guess I'm about to chow down on that... assuming I'm not walking off into some kind of ambush.
Thankfully, the forage salad from that 'empty' lot was filling! Even though I didn't get a chance to grab extra for back up rations, I'll hang on to my pistol with 8 rounds of ammo and choose Option 1, trying to continue without trading.
I feel strong enough to continue for a couple days more before worrying about eating. I'll mark Day 4 as my deadline for finding food.

I, @lturner, being of a regretful mind, choose to keep my one weapon and move on by choosing Option 1
I'm not particularly concerned about a trap here, though it is interesting that a woman (we're not talking a big strapping ex-marine here, I'm guessing) carrying a target like a backpack is willing to approach a total stranger to ask for a weapon. My biggest concern is that I need my knife and I don't need to eat badly enough to trade it. I also wonder if the cans of food would be useless to me if I have nothing to open them with.
Even if I were willing to abandon ethics for gameplay, I wouldn't be surprised if she is good at self-defense and any attempt to overpower her ends up backfiring.

After surviving through the night at the Flower Shop, Finding A KNIFE, and then rummaging through some cars, I have discoverd A BAG OF BEEF JERKY! Before I could get a chance to enjoy it though, a strange woman appeared. She looks harmless, but I must be cautious. She looks scared, and is asking for a weapon. This is most likely a trick to see if I actually have one, So I am not going to give away too much info to this stranger...

Although I think she is trustworthy, my belly is full of weeds (and since greens are mostly water, I'm not even thirsty. Those who have to eat the dried beef jerky will need water soon!) and I'm confident food will show up again soon. I don't want to trade her my knife because it can be used so many ways, and if I trade her my gun, she could use it against me. I'll tell her, "I'm sorry, I don't have anything to trade with" and hope that if she is part of a trap that her buddies will leave me alone thinking that I'm not worth their trouble.

It's to early to shoot some one, and you know I'm slitghtly too high, to shoot at the moment. As I saw in the plant shop they grew also something else, as Bob Marley would say sank you berry much!

@papapepper I just saw your message on my posts from 3days ago, that I replied to a wrong comment and might be eliminated, I can't find the post for checking to see if I'm alive. So if I'm eliminated. That's cool. If not, Then I have gas, a pistol with 8 rounds, ate in the lot,need to eat by day 4, and choose option. I prefer to keep my weapon.
As far as I know, you're still alive and I have you down as such. I'm discussing this with @Papa-Pepper to see what's going on.

Yeah, that made me sad to see, because @papa-pepper wasn't sure what you were talking about and I hadn't seen anything off so you were still in the game.
In the future (and if you don't forget to post that day) keep playing but make sure to flag your game posts at the top with your uncertainty. If it's decided you failed to follow the rules and you're eliminated, then you don't really lose anything. If it's decided that you get to keep playing, you won't be eliminated for missing a game post.
And of course, contacting me directly (@papa-pepper is much busier than I am) will help speed up the process. Either comment on one of my posts or message me on Discord at NovaAteBatman#8448. Steemit.Chat is so unreliable for me, I likely won't get your message until it's too late.

She snuck up on me. If she had any weapons or anything, she could have just killed me and looted my body. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can team up with her and we can just share the ammo and food!! :D Strength in numbers!!

LOL from an early age, I got real inspired by John Gray's artwork in Archie Comics (back when they did a Sonic the Hedgehog comic), because they were so expressive and dynamic - I wanted to be able to make my stuff as over-the-top as that X3

I have only one ethical option: Option 2 - Trade my KNIFE for the canned goods. I have no other weapons and have to eat this round or die. I would rather take the risk and trust humanity again than take advantage of her in any other way.

I figured that's what you meant, but then you got me really curious to see if 'canned beef jerky' (aside from a can of slim jims or something) was actually a thing. It brought up cans of jerky chew, which I had somehow completely forgotten was a real thing!
