Hello friends,
I had fun imagining finding Lyanna Natura among the toys of a large-scale retail store ... will it happen?
Three months ago and precisely on 19 October 2019 I registered on Splinterlands.
After a few days of play and a few battles, I immediately realized the great potential of this fun game and I wrote the first post where I asked myself:
Today January 18th (after 3 months) I have no doubts and I can say with certainty that Splinterlands is an excellent investment and in this post I will explain why.
Evaluation of Splinterlands as an investment
To evaluate an investment, you need to compare costs and revenues.
Initial Cost
Splinterlands is not free as it has an initial cost to pay.
The only initial expense required to play Splinterlands is the purchase of a set of 30 delegate cards (Starter Set) which costs $ 10.00 (71.429 STEEM).

Splinterlands rewards.
There are two types of rewards for playing Splinterlands: ** CARDS ** and ** DEC **
THE CARDS
Cards are essential in order to win battles and increase your rating.
Cards can be obtained in three ways:
- By completing the daily quests:

) - As a reward for each Splinterlands end of season (every 15 days):

) - By purchasing them from the Market.
DEC: Dark Energy Crystal
DEC are the tokens that are awarded as a reward for every battle won.
DEC can be transferred to SteemEngine and converted to STEEM.
My Rewards:
Now let's see what my rewards have been in 90 days of play.
My Cards
In 3 months of Splinterlands I got 157 cards:
According to market prices, my cards are worth: $ 8.18
We reason in STEEM:
To calculate the number and dollar value of my cards, I used the Peakmonsters website which greatly facilitates and speeds up the calculation.

My DEC
In 3 months I gained a total of around 4400 DEC.
To date 18 January 2020 a DEC can be sold at 0.00489 STEEM on SteemEngine.
My 4400 DEC are therefore worth 21.516 STEEM
A bit of calculations ...
Now, we have all the data we need: let's do some calculations and answer the following questions:
- In 3 months did I reach the Break even point?
- What is the ROI of the first 3 months?
- What is the expected annual ROI?
1. In 3 months did I reach the Break even point?
Break even point
The break-even point is by definition the point where costs and revenues have the same value and therefore the profit is exactly 0.
Since Splinterlands has an initial cost of 10 dollars it is important to calculate the break-even point and evaluate the time needed to reach it.
Total revenues
Revenues - Costs
In three months I not only reached the break even point but I also got a profit of 8,516 STEEM.
2. What is the Roi of the first 3 months?
To calculate the Roi we must apply the following formula:
(Revenues - Costs) / Costs
The ROI for the first three months on Splinterlands is 11.92%
3. What is the expected annual ROI?
We can make a prediction on annual ROI.
In fact, in the event that the profit of the first three months continues to be constant also in the following months we can calculate the expected ROI.
We proceed to the calculation:
[(Earnings first 3 months X 4) - Costs] / Costs
This is however a prediction and there are many factors at stake:
- The value of STEEM
- The value of DECs
- The value of the cards
But perhaps it is still a pessimistic forecast as with the increase of the cards our rating will also increase and consequently also the number of DEC that we will earn for each battle won will increase.

Splinterlands is much more than just a game.
You can publish posts with #spt and #splinterlands tags and if your post is of quality you will most likely receive a nice upvote from @Steemmonsters account.

It is the game that could bring many new users closer to Steem's blockchain and could therefore help the whole Steem ecosystem.

mi sono divertito ad immaginare di trovare Lyanna Natura tra i giocattoli di un negozio della grande distribuzione...Che dite succederà?
Tre mesi fa e precisamente il 19 ottobre 2019 mi sono iscritto su Splinterlands.
Dopo pochi giorni di gioco e poche battaglie mi sono subito reso conto del grande potenziale di questo divertente gioco e ho scritto il primo post dove mi chiedevo:

Oggi 19 gennaio (dopo 3 mesi) non ho dubbi e posso affermare con certezza che Splinterlands è un ottimo investimento e in questo post ti spiegherò il perchè.
Valutazione di Splinterlands come investimento
Per valutare un investimento bisogna confrontare costi e ricavi.
Costo Iniziale
Splinterlands non è gratuito in quanto ha un costo iniziale da sostenere.
L'unica spesa iniziale necessaria per poter giocare a Splinterlands è l'acquisto di un set di 30 carte delegate (Starter Set) il cui costo è di 10,00 $ (71,429 STEEM).
Le ricompense di Splinterlands.
Le ricompense che si ottengono giocando a Splinterlands sono di due tipi: CARTE e DEC
LE CARTE
Le carte sono fondamentali per poter vincere le battaglie e aumentare il proprio rating.
Le carte si possono ottenere in tre modi:
- 1 Completando le missioni giornaliere:
- 2 Come ricompensa di ogni fine stagione di Splinterlands (ogni 15 giorni):
- 3 Acquistandole dal Market.

I DEC sono i token che si ottengono come ricompensa per ogni battaglia vinta.
I DEC possono essere trasferiti su SteemEngine e convertiti in STEEM.

Ad oggi 18 gennaio 2020 un DEC può essere venduto a 0.00489 STEEM.

Un pò di calcoli...
Adesso, abbiamo tutti i dati che ci servono e possiamo tirare le somme e possiamo rispondere alle seguenti domande:
- In 3 mesi ho raggiunto il Punto di Pareggio?
- Qual'è il Roi dei primi 3 mesi?
- Qual'è il Roi Annuale previsto?
1. In 3 mesi ho raggiunto il Punto di Pareggio?
Punto di pareggio (Break even point)
Il punto di pareggio è per definizione il punto in cui costi e ricavi hanno lo stesso valore e quindi il profitto vale esattamente 0.
Poichè Splinterlands ha un costo iniziale di 10 dollari è importante calcolare il punto di pareggio e valutare il tempo necessario per raggiungerlo.

In tre mesi non ho solo raggiunto il punto di pareggio ma ho ottenuto anche un utile di 8,516 STEEM.
2. Qual'è il Roi dei primi 3 mesi?
Per calcolare il Roi dobbiamo applicare la seguente formula:
( Ricavi - Costi) / Costi
Il ROI dei primi tre mesi su Splinterlands è di 11,92%
3. Qual'è il Roi Annuale previsto?
Possiamo fare una previsione sul ROI annuale considerando che il guadagno dei primi tre mesi continui ad essere costante anche nei mesi successivi.
Procediamo al calcolo:
Questa è comunque una previsione pessimistica poichè con l'aumentare delle carte aumenterà anche il nostro rating e di conseguenza aumenterà anche il numero di DEC che guadagneremo per ogni battaglia vinta.

Splinterlands è un bellissimo gioco ma è soprattutto un grande investimento (la mia opinione personale).
Ovviamente non ho la sfera di cristallo ma Splinterlands è un gioco / investimento che può crescere ancora molto.
E 'il gioco che ha il maggiore potenziale sulla blockchain di Steem e non solo...
E' il gioco che potrebbe avvicinare alla blockchain di Steem tanti nuovi utenti e potrebbe quindi aiutare tutto l'ecosistema di Steem.

Il gioco mi piace e partecipo con piacere e con ancor più piacere leggo i tuoi articoli al riguardo, anche se da pochissimo tempo: sono su steem da circa 15 giorni e sul gioco da meno di una settimana.
Ma non credo che si possa considerarlo un investimento :)
Per carità i tuoi numeri sono tutti corretti, anche se una valutazione finale andrebbe fatta, dal punto di vista economico, rispetto a valute come dollaro o euro. In questo periodo grazie al balzo recente del valore di steem sarebbe buono anche in questo caso, ma ho paura che se allarghiamo lo sguardo a periodi più lunghi o lo proiettiamo al futuro così non sia. Ma di questo "ai posteri l'ardua sentenza" :D
Anche se così fosse non credo che si possa considerarlo comunque un ottimo investimento, perché le valutazioni sono fatte rispetto ad un "capitale" di 10 dollari. Un investimento, sebbene sia corretto valutarlo in termini percentuali, per esser considerato tale dovrebbe esser in grado di portare gli stessi risultati percentuali anche per importi maggiori ma non credo sia così per questo gioco. Ad esempio se tu avessi investito, che so, 10mila dollari, comprando carte e pacchetti, temo che il ROI sarebbe scivolato molto molto in basso. Più di tanto credo che non si riesca ad ottenere. Magari mi sbaglio e sarò felice di esser smentito.
Anch'io ho comprato il pacchetto di start, ma per divertimento, senza velleità di guadagnarci.
Altrimenti un qualsiasi faucet, quei siti che regalano satoshi o altre critto, sarebbero investimenti migliori considerando che applicando le formule, essendo del tutto gratuiti, avrebbero ROI infinito.

All'inizio ci dedichi più tempo per capire i meccanismi, poi metti subito il pilota automatico...
Io ci dedico 15 min. al giorno max, completo le missioni giornaliere (5 battaglie da vincere al giorno) e poi aspetto la missione del giorno dopo.
Non richiede concentrazione infatti mentre gioco faccio altro, una volta che hai capito come schierare le carte le battaglie non le vedi più, premi il pulsante per vedere il risultato e via.
C'è chi gioca tanto e fa i tornei, c'è chi fa trading con le carte, chi le affitta ecc. ecc. Io questi risultati li ho ottenuti facendo il minimo indispensabile, completando solo le missioni giornaliere e acquistando solo il pacchetto di carte iniziali.

Pensavo giocassi da più tempo (non ho guardato il tuo profilo), in ogni caso sono contento che tu sia già rientrato del tuo investimento. Le cose non possono che migliorare, soprattutto se riesci ad affittare qualche carta forte o raggiungere leghe alte per un paio di stagioni di fila.
Ti consiglierei di iniziare a portare qualche guadagno a casa appena possibile.
