Hey @asapers, thanks for the support :-) I'm looking forward seeing the upcoming edition.

Your photos never seem dull or predictable, and that must be one of your biggest assets. Or maybe it is just what I admire most about your shots.
And on top of that, you seem extremely versatile! From your story, it shows that those "talents" have always been there. 12 Years of experience on top of that made it less random. I am happy that I ran into your work.

Thanks @r00sj3, hehe I sometimes forget that I usually don't publish my work that easy on the internet, or show that I made it. Recapping the very moment when I received my first DSLR until now, made me a bit proud of myself.

Great first task! I loved reading about your journey. I'm just starting on mine, but I have many more years to cram into my story. LOL!

Thanks! Haha, when did you start? It was pretty hard to summarize all the things I did. I left out some cool things on purpose. Winning my first contest, having my thick head published in the Newspaper on a spread paper, getting broadcasted on Radio/TV (wtf), photographing the prime minister... damn could've spent a little bit more time in the introduction, but felt that this was the ethical most important things to mention.

I know. It's hard to know what to mention and what not to mention. I started photography as a hobby in 1955 when I was a child, then several careers later I became a pro in 1993. I'm working on my post now. I even went out and did the video today - my fist ever video of any length with me in it! I got some strange looks, but when you get to my age, you just don't care what people think. I could never have done it years ago. LOL!

That sounds really interesting! I'm looking forward to checking out your entry. Will there be analogue cameras and film in your entry? ;-)

This post is fantastic, very well written. it's a great insight into your path and character!

I'm also 12 years deep into Art now, and I have much the same opinion, that everybody could learn to do what I do. But I've realized along the line, that I have a creative view of the world as well. Laying links, and seeing layers that might not be obvious to others.

Stay blessed, keep up the hard work, continue to surprise yourself and enjoy the ride!

Thanks bro! We sometimes give ourselves too less credit, because we are focused on creating and not the result or opinion. It will let us stay humble, and I always think that it is a good to stay humble, no matter what you have achieved.

Congratulations! Your post has been selected as a daily Steemit truffle! It is listed on rank 1 of all contributions awarded today. You can find the TOP DAILY TRUFFLE PICKS HERE.

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 26 SBD worth and should receive 124 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.

Well thanks for sharing this, it is really a great story.
Trust me it is long and took me a lot of time to read every inch of it, but this is really inspiring.
And your grandfather's camera, one antique piece, i hope it is way valuable than anything in this world.
Thanks a lot for sharing.

Wow Ruben! Holy shit!! (With a sharp T sound) you are an amazing artist. I am blown away by your compilations. Great to meet you!!! Among my faves is I wood do it. Loved that one 🌸

I am a member of the #asapers group dropping by to give encouragement and support! I look forward to getting to know you better. I hope you enjoy Steeming!!

Haha, welll, hello there! Thank you so much for passing by and for checking out my Showreel, it has been a while since I have updated it... postponing it for 3 years already. But I probably will launch it here on Steemit before sharing it with the 'real world' whenever it is done. Steemit is great.

Funny how quickly time passes! Been 5 years already since my portrait was done. Have a shoot booked Apr 19 to get some new pics. It's cool you've found something to do that you are really good at too!! Looking forward to your updated compilation!

nice post , am excited to see what you'll post next

Thanks! Stay tuned for more. The portrait photography post is up and running.
