Shrimp Life Support

ShrimpLifeSupport.png

What is a Shrimp?

A bottom feeder marine crustacean that can live in every ocean environment. Shrimp are small little guys and easy to overlook. They are relatively weak because they have no spine, however they do have an exoskeleton, which is little more than a thick shelled skin that doesn't protect them well from larger predators. They eat algae, tiny fish, and plankton.

I feel sorry for the growing Shrimp population here on Steemit, and I want to help them out. Please read on if you share my feelings.

Today, I would like to invite all the shrimp, minnows, and plankton to post links to their recent posts they worked the hardest on. I'll pick my favorites to upvote 100%, like I always do.

Like every curator, I will be judging on my own personal criteria. I'll be looking for these things...

1. Quality of content.

  • Is your posted content unique?
  • Are there images, videos, or gifs or memes to hold interest?
  • Is the writing worth reading?
  • Is there some personality included?

2. Overall Shrimpiness

  • Are you making lots of recent posts and comments, and earning very little?
  • Are you really poor? Closer to less than 100 SP/SBD total earnings.

3. Time Spent

  • Did you join months ago, or last week?
  • Are you posting, commenting, and upvoting others on a regular basis?
  • Are you generally an encouraging force here on steemit, or a mean-spirited ghost that frequently disappears?

4. Wildcard

  • Are you posting something that is interesting to me personally?
  • Are you posting something a nearby whale might find interesting?
  • Is today your lucky day?

Please include a link to the post you would like me to review, in the comments below.

Everything in the comments below, I will monitor for new posts to review. The first comments are likely to be from the most active and shrimp, so I'll check those out first. Add some clever text or a fun image to your comment below, and I might even upvote the comment itself!

My followers and other curators are welcome to also feed the shrimp they find. Shrimp love eating up any spare Steem you can share.

The point is not to give away votes just because someone buys, trades, or ask for it. The point is to give votes to people who need it, and deserve it.

If this works well, and people appreciate it, I'll host another session like this again in the future.

great iniative @creativetruth! when i have more SP, i want to do similar things. we've been here for a month and have found some nice tribes in the #homesteading and #ecotrain. always looking to make more positive and creative connections. steady as it goes!

here's a post to a dtube vid (still learning the curve of that!) we made about tending our worms in winter:

Following you now :) btw, love your final image of you name at the bottom of your post -- did you make it? really cool!!

Listen. I asked for shrimp, and you gave me worms. Worms!

Seriously though, very educational video. I do hate worms though. Won't touch 'em. Won't go near 'em. They are the only animal I sling mud at. Especially when I find them in the mud.

You are looking pretty fat for a nearly two month old Shrimp. Good job. Doing much better at that stage than most people. Keep it up! I hope you will feed the other little shrimp with steem some day instead of worms.

LOL! you are too funny! you know, we need more worms in our ecosystems so I wont apologize, but i do appreciate the fat vote! and do promise to feed the shrimp with worms (sorry cant stop wont stop) once i become a larger marine mammal. i know worms don't exist very well in the water. we will make a video on kelp and other fish food soon! xD hehe <3

Thank you! Can we keep it? Did you draw that?

I found the dancing shrimp on giphy.com and worked it for you from there. You can use it as much as you want, that would make me happy :)

That's what I look like in real life when I dance.

Hahaha! That is awesome! How perfect :)

Hi! I hope you will consider my recent post. Not only did I spend a lot of time on it. But it’s part of a bigger project I’ve been working on that I believe has real value. Thanks for doing this!

Sure, I am still getting more feedback, so I'll keep reviewing whatever people post. More curators are also starting to notice too. No shame in sharing here.

I am getting enough attention I think. This is a link to my post, sir.

That's okay. Sometimes we all have quality content that is ignored. Not today! I'll check out your post when I finish work tonight.

Congrats @mmasim! Your shrimpiness was off the charts, and your content submitted was amazing.

After checking out your ledger, it looks like you are starting to earn a steady steem-stream of SBD's even with shrimpy posts, and that is good for your future growth. Invest in growing your SP, and you'll do great things.

Thank you so much, sir. Will definitely invest in Steem once I earn a relatively a good amount.

I'm thinking I may want to start something new and invite people to post their links on all my posts. I think it seems kind of backwards that Steemit discourages people from doing this. It makes perfect sense to me to have people feeding me content to review straight to my replies. Still in the thinking stages right now.

I'll be sure to check out your post soon. You post some very funny comics I've reviewed before.

I have thought about this too. I have no problem at all with someone pointing me toward something they think I will be interested in. Even if its a reach, it would still be less random than my feed.

Congrats @thunderbirdcomic. Your shrimpiness is undeniable. Been here since November, and somehow scratching out a meager steem-stream. Good job. Keep it up.

Thanks! Shrimpin Aint Easy!!!

I just wanna nurture humourous content on Steemit, cuz I haven't really seen much of that :)

Definitely. I'll check out your post later tonight. Thanks for sharing.

LOVE this idea!!!!
What a great way to bring more quality work to the forefront!

Thanks for the resteem. Are you finding some tasty shrimp?

Yes I am... I'm always on the search for new unknown tasty shrimp... got my net out and I'm scooping them in!

If I can share this one with you

@goldendawne is the shrimp finder extraorindairre !

Tagging along - I will do the same thing as @creativetruth! P.S. Is there a breakdown of the points that you become a shrimp, plankton, minnows, etc.?

I just made up my own rules. Shrimps are shrimpy.

I love that :P

F**k you and your fake concern! Maybe I'm just a shrimp, but I taste damn good!
