wow, I was actually just in California about a month ago, more toward the northern part, Redding CA; also went to go see the redwoods. Beautiful state, kinda want to move out there!
Redwoods is such a magical place. California is such a beauty and I'm truly blessed to be here. I'm only a few hours away from the mountains, desert, forest... love it here. Best wishes :)

Was in Mission Viejo for about two weeks. Visited all beaches except Laguna!
