Why Google Became the No. 1 Search Engine

Everyone of you know that Google became them no. 1 search engine in the world. 98% of the people are now using Google to search anything. And do you know why this happened?

1. Lycos released its search engine in 1993
2.  Yahoo! came out in 1994
3. Altavista started working as a search engine in 1995

Google came out in 1998 & become the best search engine in the world.

Because all those search engines were ranking sites on the basis of keywords in the articles. And visitors had difficult time getting accurate results. They had to open page upon page in order to find the desired results. Because many website owners were spamming & giving wrong results to their visitors for getting traffic.

Then Google comes. It was the first engine that gave ranking due to backlinks. If a website is getting a link from another site it means that website has a value. And That is why, backlinks have always been the top ranking factor for Google.

This is Why Google Become the Top & No.1 Search engine in the world. Because people get's accurate results. Why Accurate? Because Google rank only sites which have relevant content & relevant backlinks from other sites.
