How to Find Low Competitive Keywords for Better SEO

in #seo6 years ago

There are many people who are claiming that they have selected low competitive keywords but still they are not ranking on Google. There can be many reasons. Today, I am going to share some basic keywords research Tips with you, by implementing or following these techniques you will be able to Find Low competitive Keywords for Better SEO of your Website.

There are 3 Kinds of Keywords

1) Transactional Keywords (Keywords which are used to buy something i.e., Buy LG Smartphone, Buy baby Clothes Wholesale etc. )

2) Informational Keywords (Keywords which are used to give information or knowledge to users i.e., how to do keyword research, How to find low Competitive Keywords, How to Research Keywords for better SEO etc.)

3) Navigational Keywords (Keywords which are used to go to the specific site or to a location i.e., Wallmart, Amazone, Gmail Sing Up, YouTube Videos etc.)

Look at the above 3 Types of Keywords, You will see that many people find navigational keywords & tried to rank for them which is almost an Impossible thing. And If they rank for a specific keywords even on a first page, then they will not get any clicks. Because not a single user will click on their result. Like if a person search for "Gmail Sign Up" on Google & you are ranking on position 3. Then you will probably not get any click. Because that person is looking to Sing up on Gmail (nothing else). So, the result from Gmail will show up on first position and user will click on that result.

Even though that keyword has a monthly search volume of 100,000, competition low and good CPC, but do you know people would see only result from Gmail. They would never open the site that has got a position 3, 4 or 5. Because you're working on a keyword that has no clear intent. That has no common sense.

Another example. People get a keyword like Facebook Log in & it also has a good volume, do you think people would click to your site?

Never!

They want to sign in to Facebook, and nothing! Just try to understand the intent of the query. Try to find Information low competitive Keywords & work on them.

You have to find long tail Information keywords which are mostly low competitive keywords, then rank them. When your site will get old with good content, then your site will be able to rank for a short tail keyword too.
