Rickysphotochallenge Week 11 entry #2 - Architecture - Nyboder, Copenhagen
Nyboder neighborhood comprises ten streets, all with flower names, of which Timiansgade (built around 1650) is the main street Several of the streets changed their name but Timiansgade remained. The settlement was replaced by modest townhouses built by Harald Kayser. They were cleared a century later, and Ib and Jørgen Rasmussen built the nursing home Nybodergården and the residential building Kaysergården for Copenhagen's Social Philanthropic Housing Company. If you go to Copenhagen you must go with bike, as it is the most comfortable means to get around the city and also because it's the worlds' bicycle capital. I was cycling trough the streets until I came along Nyboder. I just had to stop and make a photo of the typical yellow houses!
