Star Trek Discovery "first impressions"
I am a true Science Fiction lover and probably have watch nearly all series - good and bad alike. But Star Trek is one of those series that jumped out over there long running time. Everyone has seen atleast one episode in there life time and everyone knows the Enterprise :). Strangly enough everyone knows Spock and the greetings of a vulcan :)
Now what are my toughts about the new Star Trek Discovery. Well first impressions are everything with a new series. And yeah they fullfild my graving towards the Star Trek franchise. The plot started of with a bang (yep a true bang in the end :D). The characters where presented lovely and we even seen some oldies return in younger form (who is a secret :D).
I know alot of people disliked the Klingon remakes but i honestly love it. Stylish and more of this time (sound strange typing it considering where speaking of a science fiction story). Anyway the remake is good addition.
The main characters are build up slowly and steady without to much giving away from there backstorie in the first few minutes. And there interaction with eachother is like in all Star Trek series a friendly honest hierachie friendship.
One thing i truly love for now is that it is a continues story and not so much a episode flick. The story continues in the first 3 episodes. Not shure what the future wil bring :)
The visuals are what to be expected from a Netflix show, beautiful and realisticly as possible. The ships are just amazing and the special effects are of top notch quality. Nothing that jumped out as beeing poorly made. So nothing else to say about it.
For the rest i would say if you love sci fi this is definitly one to watch.
