Lemony Snicket's a series of unfortunate events (Review#6)

  

Hello guys how are you? 

Today I will review something different not again marvel and dc series (but soon enough ;) )

It’s time for the awesome Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events review 

Lemony Snicket’s show follows the three Baudelaire children and the adventures as well as the hardships they gone through. They lived a happy wealthy live with their parents when a sudden and mysterious fire kills them and destroy their home. After the tragedy happens the children have to move to foster families or close relatives as the law suggests. Well, it’s not that simple as count Olaf a failed stage actor and a cousin of their parent shows up in order to take the kids into custody.  

So far so good ha?  

Well actually no, cause count’s Olaf inner motive is to obtain the kid’s massive fortune before they became adults and claim it! 

That show first aired in 2004 as a movie and as count Olaf was none other than I can say my COMEDY GOD JIMM CARREY 

 YES JIMM CARREY 

The movie overall was pretty good but they couldn’t summarize the books that the story was written in without leave a lot of things out but if you have seen the movie it’s pretty much the same things happening but with more details, backstories and fun. The movie nominated over 25 times and won about 9 awards and 1 Oscar. 

Both the movie and series is a type of adventure and comedy with mystery and drama in it. From now on I will only talk about the 2017 Netflix series that has for now 1 season and 8 episodes!

Now in the show the role of Count Olaf has another comedy actor I like and is….. Wait for it………… wait a little more………………………. Oh yes you know by now it is the amazing chameleon  Neil Patrick Harris! 

The first episode starts with Lemony Snicket (played by Patrick Warburton) as the writer who addresses to us and say:  

‘’ I would advise all our viewers to turn away immediately and watch something more pleasant instead ‘’ or in other episodes ‘’ if you are interested in stories with happy endings, then you’d be better off somewhere else’’ 

This is something that happens a couple of times in random moments, a common trick to make us want to see it through the end and it fit perfectly in the show. 

The whole set is different than most of the movies as it is like it popped out from the book with amazing cities, buildings, characters outfits and a whole steampunk dark-black humor atmosphere. 

Get ready to witness a couple of different characters with a lot of different personalities and an evil count Olaf that does anything in his power to make the fortune his and when I say anything I mean it as he changes many outfits and plays many different roles in a very funny way! 

March through the kids story and see how they suffer and at the same time try to find what really happened behind the so called ‘’accident’’ and fire! 

Another interesting thing I want to share with you about the kids is that each one has a special skill: 

Violet Baudelaire 

She is 14 years old and the eldest one and her special skill is that she is an intelligent inventor! 

Klaus Baudelaire 

He is the second one and the only boy in family. His skill is that he has a photographic memory and he really good at researching things  

Sunny Baudelaire

 She is a baby that speaks in her own baby language that their siblings understand :P .Her special skill is that she has some very sharp teeth that can destroy a couple of things!

 Fun fact: Violet Baudelaire both in the 2004 movie and 2014 show look alike

 I suggest checking this series out if you like that environment and atmosphere it provides. I can guarantee that if you like those kinds of shows and books you have to see this! It’s really funny, funnier than the movie (although I didn’t expect Neil to be that good cause Jim Carrey just raised the bar too damn high) but as I said it surprised me in a good way. I sometimes found myself laughing without even noticing it :P
