Perspectives on Marijuana

Does Marijuana make you Stupid?

There is a popular belief that using Marijuana kills Brain Cells. This research paper actually proves the opposite.  Cannabinoids, like THC, promote Neurogenesis, which means the creation of new Neurons, new Brain Cells.

This Research Paper shows that applying Cannabinoids to a person who has had a recent traumatic Brain Injury, actually protects their brain from taking as much, or any Brain Damage from the Traumatic Brain Injury.

This Research Paper shows that Edema can be reversed. Edema is when a person who has had a Stroke, or a Heart Attack, or who is in a Coma, or in various situations, gets to the point where their Brain is swelling, and can swell to the point where there are no lines left on their brain, and they are Brain Dead, and Clinically Dead. Even if they can still make the person's heart beat and lungs breath with life support, they are Clinically considered Dead. My 12 year old brother died this way because Hospitals are not prepared to do the things in these Research Papers, because Cannabinoids are not yet stocked in Hospitals or easily available to Hospitals

I am a Hindu Minister and Specifically a Shaivite, so I use Bhang (the Hindu word for Marijuana) Religiously, and have even had a court rule in my favor. I also lived in Colorado for the last 6 years where it was completely legal to use, buy and grow. There is actually a Constitutional Amendment to the Colorado State constitution called Amendment 64, and just today the Department of Justice announced that Indian Reservations are Sovereign and have the right to create their own regulations, or lack there of, for Marijuana. Many people believe that Native Americans were the first ones to use Marijuana, but actually it comes from places like India and Afghanistan. The strain called Indica literally translates from Latin to English as "From India", Sativa means "To Cultivate" because the Greeks and later Western Societies used it to create timber and ropes and canvases and sails. The word Ganja comes from the Ganges River in India, in India the Ganges is called Ganga, and it is a God in Hinduism, and flows from Shiva's hair. In India J and G both produce a G sound, for example the name Neeraja is pronounced Neeraga. So in India Ganja is Ganga.

Example of a Hindu Priest (Called a Sadhu) using Bhang

In Colorado it is legal for every citizen of the State to grow 6 Marijuana Plants for Recreational use, more for Medical use. And in Colorado I had a Medical Card, so I grew some Bhang and made some Charas (the Hindu word for Hash). I also visited a lot of Dispensaries. First I want to explain how to Breed your own Strain, then I will share some Pictures from Colorado.

Colorado made so much in taxes ($76 Million) that they overshot their goal and triggered a Sheriff of Nottingham clause, which then returned money to people in the form of tax returns that year. Everyone in Colorado got a return, not just medical and recreational patients.

Breeding Your Own Strain

The only real thing keeping people from breeding their own strains is that now most places Feminize a lot of their seeds because people harvesting plants for the buds and not the strains are growing only Female plants. If you are going to breed a strain, you need to get at least 1 Male plant. So start off by growing regular seeds, not feminized. Then once you get a Male, make clones. Save Males and Females.

Spotting a Male is also not very hard, what you do is make clones of your plants and put the new cuttings in the dark for 24 hrs, or put them on a 12/12 light cycle. They will eventually show you which ones are male and which are female.

Once you have males, you can then get Feminized seeds. If you want to make your own strain, you need to make sure you have 2 different strains, 1 strain male, 1 strain female. Then you pollenate the female and you will get seeds if you do it right. keeping them together in a grow room with a fan is also a good idea.

Once you have seeds, you breed the seeds with their brothers and sisters. This is called "Locking in the Genetics". You have probably seen the Square with the 4 Genetic things, at this point you can choose exactly which genetics you want to show themselves and after a few breeding cycles you will have the "Phenotypes", that is what is in the 4 squares. This is how a strain is stabilized, and you have a new strain. This can also be done with different kinds of Tomatoes, I plant on eventually making some Mixed breed tomatoes using Australian Beefsteak tomatoes, which are huge and weird. And there are like 1,000,000 different kinds of tomatoes to mix it with.

Now for some Pictures from Colorado (all of these were taken by me)

I would love to have my own garden someday!

Check the link in my sig to my book. When you get a chance, make sure you get the key pieces of information from that book in with the rest of your growing information.

You'll absolutely love the quality it produces. ;)

I thought Bhang was a food product?. Did you mean chillum?

Thanks for posting this, you cited a lot of great information. It's amazing how effective prohibition has been at keeping truths like this locked up. Good Show! :D

so actually seems like might keep you clear headed.... original actual article here: http://www.nature.com/articles/npjamd201612

Pretty frosty stuff there. :)

I use a Nikon CoolPix L320 for close up shots. :) It's a low end camera that happens to have a 26x optical zoom lens.
