words for the sake of saying them have no meaning

Sorry for the sake of saying sorry is not really sorry. And when you have to make someone say I love you in return for your "I love you" it's not really love. When you have to force it, it's not natural, it's not reciprocal...it's forced. When you can treat someone any way you want and then act like nothing happened to get what you want out of that person, it's not really love. It's not anything but selfish. If a promise is made under false pretenses can someone be accountable for that promise? To have and to hold, to cherish, to care for, to love, honor, obey...til death. What if that having and holding has always been one sided? Is the promise made to the person who won the heart of a woman using a fake persona still a promise? How immature, childish and selfish to constantly need affirmation and approval. Constantly constant. Never ending. Always a parade for the smallest deed and after a while even the smallest deed is not done any longer. How long can you leave a bird in it's cage, unfed, and expect it to live, to thrive, to sing, to love life. If I had the courage to stop singing in my cage, it will be because of you. I hope you remember that when they lower my casket or hand you my ashes and you cry your selfish tears because now there's no one left to print out your certificate of accomplishment because you "tried." You have been the best and worst thing that's ever happened to me. But only the best because I learned the art of not giving a fuck. and the worst because of what could have been.
