There are toxic people everywhere you go; among your family, friends, colleagues, in the church, mosque, community, as a matter of fact, they are everywhere. Your relationship with people is supposed to in one way or the other elevate your status, make you learn new things, support you, make you grow better and become better. But it isn’t so with toxic people. Toxic people defy logic, some are unaware of the negative impact that they have on those around them, and others seem to derive satisfaction from creating chaos and pushing other people’s buttons. Being with toxic people can be so draining; they have a way of creating unnecessary complexity, strife, and, worst of all, stress. How what are the 6 types of people you should avoid?

The aggressive.

When you meet people who have no control over their temper, anger or emotions, then you need to be beware. When you are around people like that, they will lash out and scream at you, and then leave you feeling like you are the cause of their woes or misfortune. People like that are not totally stable and dangerous, that is becuse, in the middle of their anger, they can do and undo.

The ‘blamers‘.

These ones love to guilt-trip other people. They never take responsibility for their mistakes. They can break a glass of water and them blame you for talking while they were holding it. These set of people love to make you feel stupid, that is because, when you are around them, you’ll always feel as though you can do nothing right. People like this bring your self esteem low, they make you always uncertain and unsure and they always make you feel like everything negative is always your fault.

The manipulators.

These ones are your friends only because of what they can get from you. They know who you are and what you like and they will always play on your emotions to get what they want. People like these are like rats like will be chewing the sole of your foot while blowing cool breeze on it. These people can be tricky to deal with because they treat you like a friend.

The envious.

These type of people would always make you feel guilty for succeeding, they will always make you apologetic for your success. The envious people are naturally competitive and instead of being happy for your success, they are already measuring it against theirs. If care is not taken, people like this will hinder your success because they will always want you to be in their level and never pass them.

The nags.

Ah, you honestly don’t want to be around people like this. These ones can complain for the whole of Africa. Being surrounded with nags can be very dangerous, and that is because they will never see anything good about you, and when they see, they wouldn’t comment on it, instead, they focus on your bad aspects and weak points and then nag and nag about it.

The self-centered.

You can be around these people and still feel alone, that is because they talk and think about themselves alone. They will always make you feel left out and can throw you under the bus just to get what they want. You see, people like this don’t care about you, they are the me-me kind of people and would only be with you because it is convenient.
