REDDCOIN, A COMPETITOR OR COMPLEMENTOR OF STEEMIT?
A beam of light has been shone on the cryptocurrency, reddcoin, RDD. Thanks to @sebastianjago , from whose blog post it was first brought to my attention.
According to reddcoin's website, Reddcoin is the social currency that enriches people’s social lives and makes digital currency easy for the general public. Reddcoin achieves this by integrating a digital currency platform seamlessly with all major social networks to make the process of sending and receiving money fun and rewarding for everyone. Simply put, reddcoin is social media cryptocurrency.
I discovered that reddcoin has been in existence for three years now, but has probably been listed on coinmarketcap very recently or we are only getting to know about it, because it is now among the top 100 cryptocurrencies.

Besides, I found out that coins could be staked in poswallet. However, some people who troll at reddit, feel that best option for stakeholders would be to download the redd wallet and stake the coins there. In case, this coin is of interest you, you can buy from any of these exchanges

I have already fallen in love with steemit and it's ecosystem. That is not going to change anytime soon. I have my views about reddcoin, though. My personal view about reddcoin, for now, is that it could be to steemit just as ethereum is to bitcoin. Additionally, I have a feeling that steemit now has a competitor. This is something that the steemit community should put into perspective and make plans in order to stay ahead of the market.
I would like to read your views about reddcoin.

I bought a lot of Reddcoin two years ago. I hold them, but I stopped believing in it after I discovered Steemit. I sold all. For two years no excitement in Reddcoin and now it's beginning to make moves.

Oh no! I understand how your feel @bart2305. I would have felt the same way too. It's not easy to hold a coin for two years and nothing is happening, like it's 'dead'. I don't think I will have the patience for that. I think it is always good to read the whitepaper of any cryptocurrency or asset that you want to invest in and ask a lot of questions in their social media channels (slack, facebook, twitter, youtube, reddit etc.). If you do not clearly see where they are going to on a road map following their timeline, then FLEE! The team and developers are taking investors no where. Again, some will write a project plan of 3, 5, 10, even 30 years. It is all about doing due diligence before investing.
Doing research is always good. I don't just buy everything.
I always believed in Reddcoin, but when Steem/Steemit came I thought it was done for Reddcoin. I followed their information channels, mostly on Twitter. Being informed is important, but gives no guarantees at all.
Sold RDD for a small profit, bought BTS and DGB instead. They made awesome moves. So no complaints here :-)

I have to do more research with this c0in. I seen and heard of but never got into it. I may also be staking this on over@P0SWallet. I will check in a bit.
Thx for this informative info about this coin. It's still in the l0w Sats so, just may use my Steemit rewards to invest with this one. I will def REsearch tonight and will be back with my thoughts ;)

Hi maryfavor, I liked comparison of steem vs Redd to BTC vs Eth.. and also list of redd available lists.. but im lookin for the salient feature of Redd coin.. which is better than steem or diff than steem..
So my RDD-Wallet has been fully in-sync for the past few days. That's when I seen the RDD price f0r my very first time. It was around the 50Sats. @tht moment I was thinking If I should invest but I was not motivated enough as I had not did my research. After the wallet installed price is now in the 100 Sats ;)
I missed out on getting in on the 50 Sats area but@least I got in @98Sats ;)
and another@115. I am now mining 3urst again and am converting those payouts to RDD@whatever price it is@the time. I'm going LONG with this 0ne!
