Qurator Tiers and Upvote Weights Update - 24/04/2018

The new improved Tier Update that will start MAY 1st can be found and read here.
The short version of it all:
- Tier 1
OLD: Upvote 4 times a week on any @qurator post with a minimum of $0.01 or at least 100% upvote if you do not have a $0.01 upvote.
NEW: Upvote 7 times a week on any @qurator posts with a minimum upvote of at least $0.03 OR pay 1 Steem per month subscription.
- Tier 2
OLD: Upvote 7 times a week on any @qurator posts with a minimum of $0.01 or at least 100% upvote if you do not have a $0.01 upvote.
NEW: Upvote 7 times a week on any @qurator posts with a minimum upvote of at least $0.05 OR pay the 2 Steem per month subscription.
Subscription Details:
We are currently accepting the Steem for the monthly subscriptions (a more detailed post will be featured this week).
Send Steem for Tier 1 and 2 to @qurator with this memo:
For Tier 1 : 1 Steem - memo SUB 1 MAY
For Tier 2 : 2 Steem - memo SUB 2 MAY
Paying in advance:
Multiply the fee for the Tier you want by the amount of months and send in one transfer:
Example:
- for 3 months on T2: send 6 steem - memo: SUB 2 Jul
- for 2 months on T1: send 2 steem - memo: SUB 1 June
Please remember to pay the subscription before the start of the month.
What about all the members who don't have a $0.03 upvote yet?
We have not forgotten about our minnows and we will still be offering a higher tier if they choose to support Qurator.
Upvote a minimum of 7 posts per week at 100% and still get placed in Tier 1 instead of Tier 0.
This way everyone has the option to go the upvote or subscription route for higher Tiers.
Everything else still stays the same, Tiers still stack with delegations and you can still access T1 and T2 for 100 and 200 SP delegations.
Note: You can stack to Tier 2 if your upvote is currently worth $0.03 (T1) and you pay the 1 steem (T1) ie: T1 + T1 = T2
New member bonus!
Since new members pay the 4 Steem registration fee, we will be offering them T2 membership for a full month to enjoy upon registration. This should help them get some of the funds back from what they spent for the registration fee.
NOTE: All members who joined in April will be given Tier 2 for the full month of May.

As a member of @qurator we already know you post original content and we fully support original quality content, especially from minnows. We send out daily upvotes to all our Qurites if they post, but if they show some participation or invest in @qurator we feel they deserve some better rewards from @qurator. That's where Tiers come in. Below you will find all the members of @qurator and their respective tiers.

If you want to support Qurator more we suggest delegating or upvoting our Daily Qurator posts. This can be automated with Steemvoter (guide to set up a Steemvoter account HERE.

YES, delegations and upvotes stack.
Example: Delegating 300SP and upvoting the Daily Qurator 7+ time a week will place you in a T5 membership slot.

The Tier 1 and 2 upvote weights are a little lower than expected, keep in mind that the upvote weights and values will change as the new changes take effect on MAY 1st.

Qurator Selfvote
Our account is now big enough that a selfvote will make a big difference in the long run. Most of our profits go towards leases and our members. Our selfvote will start this week, thus the voting weights will take a dip and then from next week the values should increase. With our selfvote and we can show extra support later on to all our members. We will do the upvotes near the end of our post payout to ensure all our members upvoting us will get some extra curation in. ;)
Mutual Project support
We have formed and alliance with the Silver Gold Community. @silvergoldbotty will be upvoting one @qurator post a day and we will be upvoting one @silvergoldbotty post a day. This is experimental for now. The reasoning behind it is that we will be able to generate more SBD per week and with more SBD we will be able to better keep up with our leases as well getting some new ones. Thus, even though the voting weight will decrease the actual value of the votes will increase since we will have more SP later on. =)
If this goes well we will look into mutual support between other projects as well. =)

We're in that awkward spot of having $0.04 as our 100% upvote. Hopefully it will go up to $0.05 once the Steem price increases or we manage to get higher payouts. So that we stay in Tier 2 from the 1st of May! 😊 The one week countdown begins...
We hope the prices go up a bit more to hit that 0.05 sweetspot. =)
If not, you can always go the 1 steem and upvotes route for Tier 2.

Stack even more by sending in the 2 steem for T2 and the upvotes to place you in T3. =)

So come May, if we delegate 1500 SP (silver tier) and also upvote all posts at 0.05, does that stack to make us platinum? Does it keep stacking all the way up to the top?
The Elite Tier stack up a bit different. Since the basic Tiers T0-T5 are counted every 100SP you can stack up like that.
But the Elite Tiers are every 500 SP (except Diamond), so you can not stack up like you wrote about with T2 upvote.
T2 is worth 200 SP if you would delegate.
So if you want to stack up for Silver, you can delegate 1300 SP and keep upvoting with 0.05,
For Platinum it would be 2300 SP + upvotes.
This way you can stack up to the top :) (Diamond = 4800 SP + upvotes 0.05x7)

You can either way add a T1 subscription of 1 Steem/month, or delegate 100 SP
T2 + T1 value = T3 :)

You need a chart! Of all the ways to get to the various Tiers.
So now how many ways could I get to Tiers 4 and 5 assuming I will always do the voting at 7+ times a week.

The delegations are checked daily so you can delegate at any time. The Tier will be updated within 24h.

Great :) Also, is the bot working ok? My last post hasn't received an upvote and was posted 20hrs ago. my last upvote was almost 2 days ago.
It is working I see your last upvote on de-icing-duct-tape-and-delays-the-three-d-s-of-air-travel at 16.47 GMT.
In case it already after the 24h cooldown try to Edit/Save the post. You don't have to change anything. The bot needs to see a pink of a new post and the editing works like that too.
You can also do it in our Discord with a simple command.
Ah ok thanks, I think maybe the timing of the posts were too close together as yesterday's post is the one that didn't get one. And they might have been with 24hrs of each other.

The bot should always vote on the newest post. But it happens it jumps to an older one where there are some Steemit nodes problem.
When you got to our Discord there is a
Qurator-assistantchannel. You can type command!profile fiftysixnorthto check your last vote time and Qustodian votebank balance, or!refresh fiftysixnorth!to refresh the info or call the bot if your are past the 24h timeout.I just applied to be a member - subscription to tier 1. Is the first month included with the registration or does that need to be sent before the month begins ? I might be getting ahead of myself, I'll wait for more information. I have extra motivation now to get my account up to the $0.03 upvote mark :)
It works a little bit different :)
We got your registration fee (4 steem) and now the team will have a look at your account. After you are approved, as a new April member you will receive from us a Tier 2 for the whole month of May.
After that you decide what to do next.
You can either way upvote Qurators posts, delegate or subscribe for the next month (before the month starts). You can also combine the options for higher Tier :)
